Under-20s head out for Dallas Cup

Everton Academy have been invited to play in the 33rd Dallas Cup which kicks-off on Sunday. In the Under-20s competition, Everton have been drawn in Bracket C of the Gordon Jago Super Group and will face sides from Brazil, Japan and Bolivia.

Everton's first match is on Sunday when they take on Brazilian outfit Coritiba, then follow it up with games against Kashiwa Royal and Club Bolivar. Everton's last appearance in the competition was 1999.

With several players tied up with reserve team duty and a number out of loan with Football League clubs, The Blues will take the Academy's younger players, including some Under-16s.

Sunday 1 April 2012: 1:30pm Everton vs Coritiba — FC Dallas Stadium

Monday 2 April 2012: 12:00 pm Everton vs Kashiwa Reysol — FC Dallas Park Field #6

Wednesday 4 April 2012: 12:00 pm Everton vs Club Bolivar — FC Dallas Park Field #7

The semi-finals are set for Friday evening (6 April 2012), 6pm and 8pm, among the Bracket leaders and one Wildcard team.

The Final will be held in FC Dallas Park Stadium at 6pm on Sunday 8 April 2012.

Both semi-finals and the final will be shown Live on Time Warner Cable Sports.
