The first FA Cup semi-final featuring Everton and Liverpool has been given an early kick-off of 12:30pm on 14 April by the FA, possibly to avoid clashing with the Grand National, or to limit alcohol-fueled fan troubles...

The game was scheduled on the 14th to avoid the anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy the following day.

ESPN will be broadcasting the game live and Howard Webb has been handed the responsibility of officiating the game. Derby villain Martin Atkinson will officiate the other semi between Chelsea and Spurs on the 15th.
