Dr France returns to collect OBE

Dr David France, the father of the Everton Collection, Hall of Fame, Former Players Foundation, etc, was hoping that, on this trip back to England, he would be watching Everton in the FA Cup Final but he must must make do with picking up an OBE from The Queen at Buckingham Palace on Friday.

The Guardian recap Dr Everton's magnificent contribution not only to Merseyside football but to the game as a whole where clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen have adopted the model of the Everton Former Players Foundation, which Dr France founded, to support ex-players after retirement.
