Simonsen loses Wembley slogfest

In one of the poorest exhibitions of professional football in terms of abysmal quality, ex-Blue Danny Cadamarteri's Huddersfield Town and and ex-Blue Steve Simonsen's Sheffield United slogged out 120 minutes of dreadful goalless football

And both sides then missed three of their five penalties until, in sudden death, Simonsen blasted the 22nd spot-kick over the bar, meaning another ex-Evertonian, Peter Clarke, and Huddersfield Town are promoted to the Championship.
