Wallace joins Tranmere

Everton Academy graduate James Wallace has completed a permanent switch to Tranmere after spending half of last season on loan at Prenton Park.

The 20 year-old played 18 times for Rovers last season and has had other loan spells at Stockport, Bury, Shrewsbury Town and Stevenage in his time as a Reserve at Goodison.

Wallace made one senior appearance for the Blues as a substitute against Sigma Olomouc in the Europa League three years ago.

Though the fee that takes Wallace across the Mersey is undisclosed, Everton have negotiated a significant sell-on clause in the deal.
