Bidwell extends loan again

Jake Bidwell has extended his loan spell at Brentford for another month. Bidwell's current deal, a youth loan, will run until March 5 with a view to extending it further.

The 19-year-old left-back, in his second spell at Griffin Park, has been a regular in Uwe Rosler's promotion-chasing side this season and made his 50th league appearance for the Bees against Yeovil on Saturday.

Yet another Academy graduate who will never see Premier football at Goodison.Wish the lad well wherever he lands after his free transfer come summer. Why do we bother with this so-called development scheme?

David Moyes is to be part of STV's coverage of the game between Juventus and Celtic next week and their blurb points out that David Moyes: 'A former Celtic player, he was thrust into action as an 18-year-old in his side’s European Cup tie with Juventus in Turin, starring as a late replacement for Danny McGrain'

Perhaps this is why DM is reluctant to throw youngsters into the fray, it doesn't say whether he did well or had a mare, but perhaps he thinks it had a detrimental effect on his playing career.

I think you are looking too deeply into things Patrick, if Moyes thinks a player is good enough and physically capable at a young age like Rooney, Vaughn, Rodwell and Anichebe he will play them, if not he will leave them on the bench or send them out on loan and bring them in later like Osman and Coleman.
