Everton lead chase for 'England-bound' Brahimi

Portuguese newspaper A Bola say that Yacine Brahimi is likely to make a "dream" move for the English Premier League this week and that Everton are leading the chase for him.

The Blues' interest in Brahimi was first reported by Sky Sports earlier this week but A Bola's suggestion is the first since then. They claim that Everton have offered €30m for the Algerian international but that Porto are demanding upwards of €40m to cover the fact that they only own half of the player's rights.

Assuming the interest from messers Koeman and Walsh is real and the fee isn't a stumbling block, Everton would seem to be in pole position for the 26-year-old. Arsenal were believed to be interested but their double swoop for Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi will likely preclude another big-money transfer to the Emirates this summer.
