Three pretty one-sided games at 3 pm.

Think I'll listen to the Haaland Globetrotter pop a few past Southampton. But it's ridiculous that fans in England are denied (legal) TV coverage.

I guess they've grown up with this nonsense, while the rest of the world has no such compunction and can choose to watch whichever game they fancy. Or does everyone who wants to watch just grab a dodgy stream?

Probably best not say... the Internet Police are Watching You!

If City really try, they can put 10 past Southampton today.

Rob, hope so. Make it 11, Just carry on until we pick up the baton of world domination, coming to a city near you soon

Ooo... Haaland hits the inside of the post... He is not perfect!

Great pass by Foden. Haaland should have took a touch instead of hitting the ball first time.

Took City nearly 20 minutes to score. Cancelo.

Foden scores again. Great chip over the keeper.

Wow, must be a record... Phil Jagielka, 40 years old, scores for Stoke City.

Well done, Phil.

Rob,

Isn't it amazing that when you don't set up with 8 defensive players like England that Foden actually gets the ball and scores.

I just knew defences would work Haaland out. Embarrassing for him that he's only managed to score the 4th goal.

Kieran,

A lot of people drool over the likes of Jude Bellingham, Saka or Sancho, but for me Foden is the best of all the young English players. The lad oozes class.

Quick turnaround at Bournemouth, who score 2 in 4 minutes and now lead Leicester 2-1.

Richarlison dropped. Or is he injured?

We’ve moved above Brentford but stay where we are because Bournemouth won.

Tom #9,

I think Teddy Sheringham was over 40 as well.

We could be top 7 by tomorrow night if the results go our way.

Tom & Geoff,

Pretty sure Stanley Matthews scored for Stoke City when he was close to 50.

Ha! Jags might have to play until he's 45.

Couple of years back he's out and about with some InstaGram hottie. His wife cuts him loose, the hottie moves on to the next guy.

Phil has to move out of the £3 million house, plus spousal and child support, as his paychecks get smaller and smaller.

Maybe to 50.

Kieran!

You must know that the football league only started in 1992.

Newcastle are moving inevitably upwards. It will take a little while but soon enough they will be dominant with only Manchester City for some competition.

Howe has surprised me with his very effective management. Like many, I had written him off as a defensively unaware lightweight. Almost certainly he won't be their defining manager but it does show you that our wise analysis and predictions are often (usually) bollocks.

Tony Hill

PS; of course, that might include the prediction that Newcastle are going to be dominant. Alas, I think not. Couldn't happen to a sweeter bunch.

Richarlison is on as sub but Brighton the better team by far, and still trailing by 1 goal to nil with 5 minutes to go.

Brighton lose but that was the hardest 3 points Tottenham have earned.

The oldest player to play in the Football League was an ex-Everton player, Neil McBain, a Scottish footballer.

He was manager of New Brighton when they were in the league, and they had an injury crisis and he turned out, playing in goal for them at the age of 51. He is on record as the oldest player to play in the Football League.

Bit of a worry for West Midlands Police. Liverpool finishing at 6:30pm in London and United 9:00 pm on Merseyside. Supporters likely to be stopping off at Hilton Park around the same time.

But 3,000 United fans meeting just one car load of scousers heading north will hopefully mean if the reds from Liverpool keep their heads down, they should be okay.

So maybe the Forest owner is just a shrewd bastard. I had him down to be the next Pozzo but he made a rather deft move to offer a 5-year at no doubt good terms. Good for Cooper albeit at a reduced price.

Starting to get a bit feisty I can see a red card coming in this game / Forest look like they could turn into another Leeds

Bill:

Same number of games as Everton, one point less, so... maybe just slightly less time than Lampard :-O

Depends how it's being judged.

Can anyone tell me if esclators or lifts are to be installed in the new Everton Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock for us elderly guys?

We need to send our Scouts up to Blackpool to check out a certain player called Jerry Yates, as it seems this lad just loves scoring goals.

He is a two-footed striker, scores headers, and is only 25 and is already in the North West of England too.

Could he cut it in top-flight footy... I'd personally take that chance folks!
