Secondly it's an act of desperation paying that sort of money for this player. You'd have to be mad to get involved, I mean what happens if we still got relegated?
Which madness do you choose?
Personally, I would do the opposite of what Kenwright allegedly chose and sign him with a break clause fee if possible. At least we'd be starting games with an experienced, fit and firing striker. Even if he is a mercenary nutcase, who cares as long as he scores goals?
Still madness, though, however you look at it.

Yes, I saw that as well. However you look at it, which is hypothetical now, either way, that Fat Slug / Maggot has too much interference or influence as a minority shareholder.
I appreciate that Moshiri knows about as much about Football and Everton as the Director of the Bolshoi Ballet but, whether popular or not, we had more chance of getting badly needed goals with Arnautovic than without him.
Next thing we'll hear, if it ever comes to the public forum, is that he did it in the best interests of Everton Football Club, while he doesn't have the bottle to turn up at Goodison Park (not that we want him there) but brazenly shows up at Anfield (his spiritual home).

If that story is true then at least Kenwright's done something right.
The deal offered to Arnautovic was ridiculous. A 2½-year deal on a reputed £150k a week, after a fee of £2.5M, for a 48-year-old (I know).
That deal would have just been yet another example of our shit recruitment.

The reason being I believe was he was asking (at 33 ) for a 2.5-year Contract at £155k/week, while I absolutely hate Kenwright this could be something he has done to help Everton Football Club. Yet I am ambivalent on that, in that we would have had more chance of goals despite his age and temperament than we would with no-one in addition to what we have.
The situation should never have been left until the eleventh hour, there were strikers available (not many) but definitely younger and probably less demanding. Add that to the lunacy of letting Tom Cannon and Lewis Dobbin go out on loan, when we needed them more than ever.
Agree they needed experience but what better experience than playing for your own Club where survival was a key issue, as opposed to possibly sitting on someone else's bench, or God Forbid getting injured and unavailable.

Well, he will hoover up Moshiri's shares cheap, taking complete control, and then say he's looking 24/7 for investors and getting to cut the Blue Ribbon at the new Everton Stadium.

What I can't understand about Kenwright stopping the Arnautovic deal, we were desperate for a striker, Moshiri is the boss, and did Thelwell have no say??

Does Kenwright have a little black book with Moshiri's name in it?
Has Kenwright got something on his boss that he's using to mention power?
I would put nothing past blue Bill and would believe any conspiracies against him.

We are not a club for geriatrics wanting a last payday. He did the dirty on West Ham and is only interested in topping up his bank balance.
A very disruptive player with a bad attitude who would have upset the dressing room and probably would have been a big reason for us getting relegated.
Now we can build a great team spirit with the players we have and continue to scout for younger, hungrier strikers for next season.
