Everton Academy goalkeeper, Jack Barrett, has completed a loan move to Calgary FC in Alberta, Canada, for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old has worked his way up through the age groups at Finch Farm since he joined at the age of just 9.

Competition for the goalkeeper's jersey in Everton Under-21s remains strong despite Barrett now joining Harry Tyrer and Zan-Luk Leban, who are both out on season-long loans. Barrett has made only three appearances in Premier League 2 this season, sitting on the subs bench for the rest of the games.

It still means Barrett has had to compete with Billy Crellin, Dylan Graham, and new arrival Fraser Barnsley, with George Pickford, Sebastian Jensen and Douglas Lukjanciks working their way through the Under-18s this season.
