Having earned international honours at Under-15 and Under-18 level, Arnoux played for Wake Forest University before making the switch to Dynamo earlier this year, and signed a one-year-deal with the club.
Signed from Carolina Dynamo, where he scored 13 times in 16 games, after impressing in the same trial that also saw midfielder Anton Peterlin join the Blues, the New Yorker scored 13 goals in 16 appearances in the USAs Premier Development League (the fourth tier of US soccer, with a standard equivalent to the English Conference).
He was an unused substitute in the Blues pre-season friendly at Blackpool. On Tuesday night at , Cody came on at half-time for Yakubu against Manchester City Reserves
With the striking positions some of the most hotly contested at Goodison, the youngster would have his work cut out trying to force his way ahead of Saha, Yakubu, Anichebe, Vaughan, and Jo, and so it proved as the most he did was play for the Reserves before being released in June 2010 at the end of his contract.
In August 2010, Arnoux signed for the Vancouver Whitecaps in Canada and admitted it was nice to be back in more familiar surroundings and closer to family and friends.
“England is definitely a place where you have to stick through it and really want to be there,” Arnoux told the Vancouver Sun Whitecaps training session. “I just couldn't take another year of being by myself, with all my friends back here.
“I just think it was the right move for the person I am - to be back around people I know and trust. It was just time for me to come back home.”
Arnoux trialled with English Leauge One club Plymouth Argyle after his stint with Everton but said as soon as he heard about the Whitecaps opportunity, his ears pricked up.
“After the Plymouth experience, I told my agent I didn't want to be [in England] and asked if there was anything of interest back home,” Arnoux added. “He brought this [Vancouver opportunity] up and I'd heard it was a great organization with great people and I definitely wanted to be part of that.”
