No sympathy for Moyes

Moyes has done well out of Everton: financially sorted, media feted; a long way from his Preston days, a long way from his clarion call, "the People's Club".
For he has never been an Everton convert, just a highly paid consultant with one eye on the next job. Tub thumping, fire and brimstone, passion ? I've never seen it, inspirational? No way. He is a plodder a back-to-basics bootcamp merchant. 9 years on, we rejoice in toil before technique, being "hard working" and "punching above our weight" ?damned by the faintest of praise.
Echoes of fame of stylish triumph with illustrious number 9's are not even hoped for, we wallow in get out clauses; "previous regimes, financial restrictions etc" a generation taught the mantra of justification over ambition. The School of Science is more Agricultural College now.
Add in his sulks, record beatings, truly abysmal football and shocking deference to other teams culminating with that shameful surrender in a Cup Final... is it any wonder that hope has vanished?
Ignorance or incompetence ? it matters not, Moyes never had the stuff to raise this club beyond mediocre or protect it. The ignominy of a buffoon Liverpool manager insulting the club without being put in his place... and the schmoozing with Ferguson... hapless and cringeworthy.
Becoming Fergie's "boy" is as illuminating as it is ill judged, Moyes never will be Prince to the Man Utd King ? more Baldrick to Blackadder; bullies don't pal up with people who are a threat.
I've wondered about the signs for many years but patiently waited for the season that would start devoid of excuses.
Well, it's here.
I've sat in muted compliance enduring all this rather than supporting it.
There are no more suspicions ? when given a choice, the Moyes judgement is lacking... the buffers have been well and truly hit. The consultancy is over; you'd better go.

My money is a humiliating defeat in the FA Cup and Kenwright will have to act like he did with Walter Smith.
Personally i'd love to see Kenwright gone too. Were we booed off at the end today?
This is bad guys.
No-one expects Champions League on the budget we have. However, selecting the best player for each position, motivating the players, installing confidence , attacking, getting rid of caution, does not depend on budget. David Moyes is vastly overrated and overpaid.
Of course we can't afford to sack him, we therefore need him to show some integrity and walk away. He won't.
We will be told that we should shut the fuck - up, and be grateful that we have him, and he will turn it around, because he always does.
Very disappointing as if there is a change we will be back to square one because of the lack of resources.
Moyes seems to be bereft of ideas. He plays out of form players, he plays players out position and he is too worried about the opposition to go for the'jugular'.
Very, very disappointing.
I don't know a single Evertonian who hasn't- and very vociferously- called for Saha to be dropped, but Moyes plays him and yet again he's stunk the place out. Everyone can see that Beckford is up for it, and just needs some regular game time to help him find some composure. Everyone could also see that the Yak was finding his feet again. Moyes has got a £9m misfit on the bench and a 'secret weapon' chomping at the bit, yet he plays bloody Victor on the left wing.
There's a real arrogance to the decisions David Moyes makes, in particular the way he plays players out of their natural position. The subtext of this seems to be that he can see something that all us knob heads can't, and that these decisions will ultimately demonstrate his tactical genius. The reality is that this sort of thinking is alienating him from a very pissed off bunch of supporters.
There are those who think we have hit the glass ceiling with Moyes and he's the bets we can hope for. I do not agree with this one bit, we may not get a superstar manager but there are ones in the 'Moyes' moulds out there are are more pro-active and forward thinking that the ginger one.
He has gone stale IMO, the body language isn't right and it appears he no longer cares and is just going through the motions. End of the season is the time to regroup and restructure.
I am of the opinion, that he thinks he can do no wrong.
Apparently they are one of the Premier leagues BIG 19, so credit where credits due eh !
It's nearly a year without a league goal from Saha now, and it looks like it could be another year judging by his recent performances. Absolute joke.
And if someone were to tell me I would be happy if he were to score the winner the next game.. well of course I would cos that s what he is suppose to do! Fucking Score....
But there's no chance of him resigning and that twat Kenwright ain't going to sack him as he's to comfortable with him and won't risk acquiring a manager who doesn't pander to him in the way Moyes does. ("I wouldn't swop Bill Kenwright for anyone else", blah, blah, blah...)
The club is a joke from top to bottom right now and Kenwright has done yet another one of his disappearing acts when the going gets tough. Where's your plan to take this club forward, Mr Kenwright?
Sacking him could lead to instability and really see us freefall (even more).
I would leave him in the job until the end of the season with the aim of keeping us up, this season is virtually written off already.

I really don't know who could come in now and sort us out, what other viable options are there?
'For he has never been an Everton convert, just a highly paid consultant with one eye on the next job'
The next job? He's been here nine years... what a daft thing to say.
However, maybe a change at the end of the season with all parties agreeing would be the best option, as it's been stated before we cannot afford to sack him and he would not deserve that anyway.
In his place we could consider (if they were to want it):
Slaven Bilic
Dave Jones
Or Bournemouth's Eddie Howe.
My favourite being the latter but in a year or two.
BK think's he's Everton ? no no no... we are Everton and always will be.
Kenwright Out ? Moyes OUT
Sorry you didn't pick up on the nuance, Ferguson is still at Man Utd.
Straight over the top! Bit like the players really!
Next, we will hve some no-mark like Anichebe asking for some ludicrous amount of money for doing fuck all...
Simple question... Moyes out?? Yes or No.
2) Is Yakubu NOT being played to keep him fit for sale and;
Is Saha being played to PROVE he is fit for sale??
Jesus Christ, listening to you all moan it's as if we're rooted to the bottom of the table with old crocked players, no youth policy, no sellable assets, 10 points adrift from safety.
We're not in the best of shapes and we're off form, granted, but it's not as bad as 9 out of 10 of the miserable sods on this site are making it out to be and before you start, I am no Moyes apologist, whatever that is. He just happens to be our club's manager right now and if you don't like it there is fuck all you can do about it.
I'm going to take a breather from Toffeeweb for a while for my own sanity.
It's not unusual for Moyes apologists to be lost for words at these times, and to only be capable of lashing out at the ignorant and stupid fans who dare to question Moyes's methods and madness. The noticeable thing is that's all you can do.
"We're not in the best of shapes and we're off form" ? but that shouldn't concern us, eh, Glenn? 9 out of 10 are over-reacting? Really?
If you're so smart, instead of running off and hiding, why don't you go through the list provided here, point for point, and explain why everything is really nowhere near as bad as it seems. Then I might have a bit more respect for your minority perspective.
I mean, 3 wins out of 17, is quite decent.
18pts from a possible 51, thats not to be sneezed at.
2pts above the relegation places, well as you say, at least wer'e not rooted to the bottom of the table, so nothing to worry about there either.
Yes Glen, nothing to worry about........
See you all in a few weeks when hopefully things might look up.
He is then told not to worry because the club will be in good hands and that while he's away Steve Round will take over as caretaker manager.
This will be done because by the time Moyes gets back we will be striving our way towards the Blue (at least it could be royal) Square Premier League and the knowledge that Moyes will now have i.e. tactics, will get us to Round 4 of the FA Cup.
Now, once he's back, Moyes will look like a complete and utter (or udder if your name is Albert Perkins, yes mate a truly brilliant thread!!!) genius of Einstein factual.
But hey, Moyes has a mental block. We all hear about writers and artists that go through the same thing. I can tell you now I write songs and compose music. Every so often your brain closes down and doesn't function. You have been so long doing the same thing that at some point it doesn't make sense anymore. That last verse... those last few brush strokes... you just can't seem to do it.
Moyes, with Everton is at that stage now. He's to close to the subject matter and can't see what's under his nose. We however are on the outside and, as I agree with everyone, it's a shame Moyes can't or will not tap into our Everton philosophy. But he's there and we're not.
At the end of the day, it's down to Moyes's boss, and not Moyes ? that's where the BUCK stops.
FFS COYB
The only change Moyes needs to make is to drop Saha ... he's totatlly out of sorts.
Opinions are like arse holes - everyone has one but how many of the gobshites on here have run a Premiership club?
Arteta in for Cahill once he heads to the Asian Cup and a new striker and we'll be Ok.
Let's just run our fingers throuhg our perms, stroke our 'taches and ...Calm down... calm down.
Glenn says that, while things are not that great, there are far too many negative posts, and 9 out of 10 of you are clearly wrong to be concerned.
So please... NO MORE NEGATIVE POSTS! And whatever you do, don't be suggesting that Moyes should be ousted. Try to be positive... look forward to the moment when he turns it around, as we all know he can. Don't dwell too much on the current crap he's serving up... ooops ? I can't say that, can I.
"How many of the gobshites on here have run a Premier League club?"
Time for another new rule: You cannot comment unless you have experience running a Premier League club. Can't believe I didn't think of that one when we first set this thing up...
PS bbc fuck off, i'm not a prozzy.....
I've read it now, though... but I'm not very good with these flights of fancy. However, a one-year secondment to CD Everton is what's called for, me thinks: with strict instructions to get them promoted ASAP.
And not to come back if he fails...
Satire at it's finest.......
Please can somebody tell me the "Official" time to panic.
It's about 10.10pm .. do I have time to make a cup of tea first or is it immiment ?
I've been ready to PANIC for weeks now and this not knowing exactly WHEN TO is doing my head in.
Bugger, I need the loo now ... heightened anxiety state plays havoc --- nobody start until I've come back...
Time to Panic in... x Hrs y Mins z Secs...
Brilliant.
Having said all that, Moyes, don't forget ? when you are gone, don't forget we will still be here. Also, don't forget ? we are bigger than you as a club!/>We will still be here when you're gone.
I sort of support Everton when in the right management.......
