Jake meets his life-saving match and becomes a Blue

An eight-year-old American boy flew half way around the world from California to meet Jane, the lady whose bone marrow donation cured his rare blood disorder, severe aplastic anaemia.

Jake Larkin travelled to the East Midlands to thank Leicestershire history teacher Jane Theobald who saved his life through the one-in-25-million chance of the international bone marrow registry.

Jane's family are Evertonians and the Blues are now Jake's team as a result.

I think it would be a nice gesture if the club sent a few freebies to the lad and Jane.
