Doucoure Chant

Right, so been as Doucouré is a Toffee, we have to come up with a chant... And it would be silly not to do it to the tune of "That's Amore"! What do we think?

So Duke of Earl works for me.

When a boot's in your thigh
That is our Abdoulaye
That's Doucoure

When his skill makes you sigh
That is our Abdoulaye
That's Doucoure

He's a king
Ting a ling a ling
Ting a ling a ling
And you'll sing what a belter

We will play
Tika taka game
Tika taka game
Like a great Iniesta

Are you a rapper, Dave?

Laurie (10),

I'm a music fan. Rappers don't do music – they talk fast with some music in the background. There's a place for them; I'd always give that place a miss.

Dave - I didn’t think so really. I am sure this would be more to your liking:

Matt Monroe

Laurie (12), yes, didn't mind Matt Monroe, but that song, a very good one, imo, reminds me of a funeral I went to. A good mate of mine had passed away and “The Impossible Dream” was played at his funeral. I said to my mate, a Rednose, “You wouldn't have thought that, Kipper”. The lad who died would have chosen that song as his goodbye one. My mate replied, “Well, he was an Evertonian, Dave”!!

Dave (13) – not a bad comeback from a rednose. Maybe things are about to change for us bluenoses.

Laurie (14), well things are certainly looking better with recent signings and performances. At least two good signings in the next week or so should increase that confidence... here's hoping.

Duke of Earl, works, in my view I’d tried last Saturday night while on the beers, celebrating the win...
Dou, Dou,Dou, Doucoure. Repeat.

Lol.

But great to see Evertonian, spirits and hopes, high with no fear.

Long may it last.

I just respect you guys. Maybe it is an Irish, certain age thing, but, the notion of singing a special chant, having a shirt with a players name on it or, in fact, just being fucking conspicuous, makes me feel ill.
