It was so casual and thoughtless, it didn't qualify as 'petulance'.
But football players have previous for not being too smart.

Football is often more enjoyable when you don't care too much about the result. First half of Celtic vs Rangers was a cracker.

Quite surprised really that Man United decided to stick by the Dutch Dyche.
They look abject, and you can see why they wanted Branthwaite so much.

Exactly why I said all summer Rob on various threads, why on earth would Branthwaite go to United.
He can easily end up at Man City next summer or a top European club, Manchester United are no long a top elite club on the pitch.

I've said all summer Jim, that Branthwaite wasn't going to Man Utd, or anywhere else for that matter. I've also found out in the last week that he will be available for the next game at Villa. So lets mourn for a couple of days, yesterdays disastrous result, get Jarrad upto full speed in training, and the new lads integrated into the squad, and go again. If we can play at Villa like we did yesterday, well the first 87 minutes anyway, then who knows?

Leicester away is monumental, i'm not expecting us to get anything from Villa away, bonus if we were to even with Branthwaite available.
Palace and Newcastle before the next international break, got to pick up points from them.

Usually hate the international break...but after the weekend we've just had,I'm actually really looking forward to it...Wales on Friday night and the England - Rep.of Ireland game on Saturday evening...also be interesting to see how Carsley does like.
Already dreading our away day down at Villa Park!

Good stuff Rob and you bring top news.
But you left out the main reason why we lost so awfully mate, who would not be in the job at any other club, and for me has become the biggest problem on the pitch. His presser did it for me. What a gaslighting twat.

The crazy thing is, Dyche will go to Villa in two weeks time and think you can play the same way that you did at Spurs last week, and expect a different result.
You can't contain teams in this League with negative tactics or negative substitutions.
Games are won by risk.
Contrast Dyche to the Bournemouth manager yesterday.
Dyche at 2-0 down last week brings on Mason Holgate.
Bournemouth gaffer at 2-0 down throws attacking option on and his risk of maybe losing 3-0 yielded greater reward by actually winning the game.

After what happened yesterday how on earth can any of us feel we can win against any team.
It was totally devastating and against Bournemouth of all teams.
All the good work up front undone by insanity at the back.
A total lack of discipline that must have every team in the league licking their lips to play us right now.
Thank God for the break but what comes after ???

I never go into a match thinking that we will lose Jim B. We might have to clutch straws but Ndiaye, Tim, Jarrad, and the other new fellas will make a difference. Ndiaye was simply superb yesterday until the irreligious skinhead unbelievably took him off.

Paul@18, totally agree mate. How dare Dyche take zero responsibility for yesterday?
As if he is a fan sitting in the stand.
He had the plan, it was working. Then he got everything wrong.
Sure, the players are at fault too but he was the brains behind the decisions.
I have appreciated his effort and vacked him during that bleak run but now I am sick of his bullshit.
He hides behind " the noise" the "story", how "things have been here for years"
Absolving himself of blame because his predecessors were crap and the owner is stupid.
Sorry Sean, you are the problem.
Just hold your hand up and take your responsibility when you hang others out to dry.

Without sounding too high-minded Eddie, taking responsibility is one of the main things you measure any gaffer in any walk of life for. Harsh, I know, but Dyche was a coward in that press conference. Some people seem to think he is a good old down-to-earth nice fella. I don't.

The grunts are starting Paul. It's even leading to fights between fans down on the concourse. After the game, two lads I know, brothers, kicking off with another lad and his dad. Could get really toxic in the next few games if we don't any points on the board

Blues fighting with each other, sake. Sadly, I know that exact atmosphere you're talking about Rob. It's nasty. You always should help a fellow blue out not mug them. I wish that we did not have two tricky aways coming up, though if we play like we did in the first '80 we could beat anyone.

Good to talk.
What a weekend.
The Everton collapse. I thought maybe Schalke would give me some therapy, but they go and get beaten by 3 goals and the the other lot win by 3.
Three is a bad number this weekend.

I've just noted Ten Hag"s "I'm not Harry Potter" comment.
Echoes of Carlo's, I'm not a magician comment. I'm not sure how it's looking for him.

I am surprised that nobody has commented on England's game, I think we might regret not going for Lee Carsley before he got the opportunity to take on the England job. You can see he wants to play front foot football yes of course England should beat Ireland and Finland, but I think Carsley will play the same way no matter who England play.
Also were have most of the Premier league scouts or DOFs been, Carsley brings in a kid that nobody was talking about, Angel Gomes who completely ran the show. I guess there must be some very embarrassed people at Man Utd who let the lad go even though he had played in their first team. Also there was no Foden or Bellingham who are probably our 2 most creative players. The main problem for Carsley is the same as it was for Southgate, we still only have one recognised striker.

I watched it Brian. Without playing down Lee Carsley's brief achievements, that was very much an easy ride for England.
The player that stood out for me was the Finland keeper. Without him, that could have been a cricket score.
He plays for Leverkusen, who won the Bundesliga by a country mile last season.
