United are allegedly over £700M debt despite the efforts of their board and have spent over £1BN in transfers the past three seasons. On top of that the owe other clubs somewhere between, £300-£400M in non-paid transfer fees.
Leaky roof at Old Trafford and mice found in the kitchen that serves their corporate areas. Not a good look out.

Mixed feelings, Rob. He's in my FPL team. I was hoping it was a straight red so that I can bin him.
Good day out, Rob!
I wish we had not sold Iwobi. Made up for Silva. Wazza is not really a manager is he?

Cunha straight from a corner! Man Utd one place ahead of us and we have a game in hand that is a nailed-on 3-pointer for us under the lights!!!
Mind you, it's tighter down at the bottom than I would like. Wolves out of the Bottom 3 and Palace have an absolute dream run of fixtures coming up over the next 2 months.

Fog is like pea soup by mine, Paul, about 5-6 miles to Mordor.
Also about 4-5 miles to Liverpool airport. So there could be plenty of hotels fully booked later on if flights are cancelled back to Norway.

Anyone else notice that Wolves did the exact same kick off routine at the start of the second half as what we did against Brentford?
That was the one where McNeil played the ball straight back to Pickford who launched up towards the right wing where we had 3 players in position to contest the header.
It didn't work for Wolves either.

That's a pretty penny for an abandoned match Rob. Brings out the worst in me.
Cunha well out of our league, Colin, but he wasn't this time last year. Gunners are sniffing round apparently. Calvert-Lewin and Broja are fine for me until the end of the season with Chermiti thereabouts perhaps.
I'd rather have a speedy winger or two that might actually help our forwards and a left-back and right-back if I can be greedy. Dewsbury-Hall on loan is a must for me but again the Gunners sniffing around.
I'd take Iwobi back in a heartbeat! Lookman is way beyond our reach.

I hope no one comes on here and says I hope Liverpool win because it'll be a good result for us.
It won't, we can take care of ourselves I want them bastards to lose every game.
On another note, we could do a lot worse than try getting Chilwell from Chelsea, he's been frozen out there and has always looked a decent left-back to me.

Broja got the call again today instead of Beto, who is now clearly Dyche's 3rd choice. That could pay immediate financial dividends.
Tutto Dello Sport reports that Torino will be in for Beto on loan in the upcoming window. If they pay a nominal fee and assume his salary, that's a £6m return for us.
And with Chermiti back as well, we'll never miss Beto.

But if Calvert-Lewin goes to Italy in January too, it will leave us with only Chermiti and Broja.
Meanwhile, horseface brings off his two best performers: El Khanous and Winks.

I've always supported Dom but £8 million in January and a replacement would do me, with Chermiti and Broja.
Beto is a trier but not particularly decent. I'd be happy to see them both go (only if we get a decent fee for Dom) with at least one replacement coming in.

Okay, now it's 3-1.
Jeff, I don't think January is the ideal time to ship out two strikers and bring one back in. Tough window, and we have more urgent needs than another 3rd striker. I'd consider it much more likely that we ship just one and re-set in the summer.
Posted
26/12/2024 at
21:42:15
Jeff, a ready-made ready-to-go striker is going to cost us north of £30M and add on a few million more if he has Premier League experience. We don't have that sort of money to throw on one striker when fast wingers and good full-backs are also priorities. For starters, loan moves for Ferguson and Dewsbury-Hall.
Nor can we depend on Broja with his injury track record.
Posted
26/12/2024 at

Not sure we have room for loans, Paul.
My thoughts are we get actual money for DCL rather than nothing the summer, it's not like we're going to miss his goals.

We really can't afford to loan folk out with our squad but it would be good for Patterson to get minutes and even hours.
Posted
26/12/2024 at
22:27:31
No, we take the £8M add £4M to it and then spend it on the unknown 22-year-old Brazilian or Championship striker that Brighton might be looking at, Robert Tressell will have a name or two from France or Holland or Luton, and hey presto we have a goal-scoring sensation on our hands!
I know it's not that easy but £8M for Calvert-Lewin is good business, we would manage with the other 3, we've managed with 2 for 2 seasons, it's only recently we've had 4 to pick from for one place.

I wouldn't say Wolves are out of it it just yet. Liverpool are in a very strong position, but have been here before. Look at Chelsea until the last two matches and Arsenal can go 2nd today. That's 2 games in touch.
Anything can happen in football. Who would have predicted we would we have taken 7 points from our last 4 games unbeaten? Beat Forest and we're on 20 points going into the New Year.
And I have to say, after watching an all day football fest on Amazon Prime yesterday, that has got to be the worst Manchester United performance I've seen in decades.

It is a gossip column but the BBC have Calvert-Lewin in pre-contract talks which means we'll get nothing by way of a transfer fee.
So, if Beto was to go out on loan, we'd have Broja and Chermiti as this season's strikers and possibly Chermiti alone next season.
Can our new owners pay our way out of PSR or can we do a Man Utd and plead concessions due to a takeover?

Alan @78,
I read some rumour earlier today that Newcastle were prepared to purchase Calvert-Lewin last summer but couldn't agree to the £37M fee that Everton allegedly wanted for him.
I think the club are aware of the probable departure of Dominic and indeed Beto, so it's unlikely that TFG would leave a gaping hole in an already poor department of the team and they will have to support the manager with new recruits. Whether those possible new recruits will help solve the attacking department is open to debate.
On another note, I watched Brighton last night and Pedro? was fortunate not be sent off, in my view he clearly lashed out with his elbow, and although he didn't make contact with an opponent, the intent was there, but apparently it wasn't a clear and obvious error by the referee.

Not sure it is even possible to get 7 points from 4 games unbeaten but I agree with your point that anything can happen.
