Club World Cup — Second Group Games
The second set of group games got going on Thursday afternoon with Palmeiras winning. PSG and Chelsea both lost on Friday with Jackson sent off for a "reckless and stupid" challenge just 4 minutes after coming on as Chelsea gave up 2 quick goals… but no coverage on Channel 5 until Saturday.

Jackson of Chelsea, sent off just 4 minutes after replacing Delap. It was his second red card in four matches and he is now suspended in two competitions - the Premier League and Club World Cup.
Perhaps a cheeky bid? We need someone with a bit of attitude. Jackson has also earned 18 yellow cards in two years since joining Chelsea in 2023.

I've struggled to get into this "competition".
On a separate note, I watched the British & Irish Lions v Argentina yesterday.
As usual when watching Rugby, I didn't really understand what was going on, other than being able to spot a forward pass. It's probably the only rule I understand.
But, once again was struck me, was how the game was officiated, both by the referee on the pitch and the video assistants.
Visible and audible throughout, explaining the thought process and decision making that could be heard inside the stadium and those watching on the tele.
And, they totally knew the rules. No players surrounding the officials as they explained their decision as they constantly talked to the players and those in the ground.
If only with football.

100% agree Danny.
It's the same with Rugby League here in Australia. The Bunker (VAR equivalent) will talk & walk through decisions and it usually happens pretty quickly.
There is also the concept of the "Captain's Challenge" where the captain can ask for a decision review within 10 seconds of a stoppage.
