I see Allan is in the midfield for Botofogo. Thought he'd retired.

Bit bigger crowd in Seattle for the PSG game — but still not full. 50,000 or so.

Bayern just can't score against Benfica.
Sounds a lot like our Rossi on comms.
In another stadium less than half-full.

A lot of discrimination in the Club World Cup:
European teams received £28M for turning up
South American teams £11M
African, Mexican, US £7M
Chelsea have already got their money back for Delap. If Man City or Chelsea win it, they'll win over £112m — a big help with transfers.

What a fantastically awkward competition.
Dumfries admits Inter players discussed Inzhagi exit rumours before PSG destroyed them in the final. Inzhaghi then cites a lack of energy to continue at the club and moves to Al-Hilal.
Both are invited guests of Gianni to this sad spectacle.

I suppose that it's thrown up a couple of surprises as the final group games play out:
Inter Miami getting through ahead of Porto in Group A
Atletico losing out to Botafogo in a three-way tie in Group B
Boca Juniors without a win, even against Auckland City in Group C
Monterrey edging River Plate in Group E
Al Hilal still with a chance in Group H?
Hard to generate any enthusiasm really… Bring on the tense drama of the knockout stages in the Round of 16!!!

Good goal from Doku for Man City against Juve.
But daft 'playing out from the back' sees them level again 2 minutes later.

Great finishing for the OG

That was genius. Brilliant pass.
All alone in front of goal, only the keeper to beat. What a finish!

City in control, but not riveting stuff.
Florida Liam. Four seasons in one day. Starts off clear blue skies. Clouds start gathering after midday. Storm and horrendous downpour in the afternoon. Back to clear skies in the evening. Repeat.

Just read an article on the BBC which says Brazil is going wild for this Club World Cup. All 4 teams are through and apparently their teams have been working to get in best shape for it.
Conor Coady just come on at HT with his analysis. Liked him as a leader, pity he was so slow.

Liam, I liked Coady. Yes, he lacked pace, but made up for it in other aspects of his game. To go vernacular, a proper "arl arse".

Bad timing / miss by Haaland or too much on the drilled cross?

No, he was behind the ball.

It's difficult to say if City are much improved or Juve are just not very good?
Juve look a pale imitation of some of their previous teams.

How did Rodri play while he was on the field?

Played well Dave. Makes a massive difference to them.
I forgot how big he was. He's huge. Just dominates the middle of the park.

Liam (23) Thanks.
I think he was well missed by Man City last season. He makes a big difference to how they operate.

City are destroying them. 5-1 now. Juve look to have given up.
Yes, Rodri is a fantastic player, Dave.

Just down the road from me but I can't get interested in going to a game. I am catching it on TV though because I can record and play later. I think all the teams are going through the motions after a tough domestic season but some players will stand out in any company.
Rodri is an outstanding player who does the job of 2 men and is the link for most of City's build-up play.
Doku is also exceptional. City going through the gears looking good now they seem to have been excused their 115 charges.
