David Moyes has brushed aside any speculation surrounding a potential return for Richarlison to Everton in the pre-match press conference ahead of the Blues’ trip to Fulham.

The Brazilian forward, who spent four years at Goodison Park before signing with Tottenham Hotspur, has emerged as one of the biggest names for Everton, leading into the transfer window. When asked about a potential return for the 27-year-old, Moyes played down the rumours and simply said, "There is zero truth in that in my side"

Asked about Abdoulaye Doucoure’s desire to stay at the club beyond this season, Moyes said, "We are making lots of decisions behind the scenes. It is good to have so many [players] that want to stay."

He also added that Doucoure “is no spring chicken” and that has to be taken into account while making a decision. In a recent podcast with Ben Foster, the 32-year-old midfielder explained his desire to stay at the club but was unwilling to do so at the cost of a salary cut.

Doucoure is also set to be available for this clash after missing the match against Ipswich Town due to a “personal issue”.

David Moyes also spoke positively about Beto’s prominence this season. Following injuries to starters Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja, the responsibility of leading the attack under Moyes fell on Beto’s shoulders.

"He has become a much more important player as the season has gone on. He is really trying to make a mark and let's be honest, he probably has,” added the Everton boss.

Beto might not be the most skillful C/F around but what can't be said about him is that he doesn't give 100% or he doesn't score when he gets the opportunity.

The less said about the injury prone no-scoring DCL the better.

I know who I would choose as the one to score and play the most in a season. No contest, Beto, particularly as we now have a Manager who sees his potential in that regards whilst probably recognising his limitations at the same time. It has got to be worth a try at least.

He may also save us a pretty penny in our transfer dealings by not having to dip into our transfer kitty buying Delap or similar.

I'm not particularly a Beto critic but he missed three 1v1's in one game pretty recently... Brentford?

What! He pitifully fluffed six one-on-ones over the last six weeks! What was that I heard? Put the ball in front of him to run onto and he will score. On top of this, he has missed other opportunities in front of goal.

A somewhat sunny but not that well informed or remembered or highly selective post Peter.

I'm also getting a little sick and tired about this 100% effort stuff. That is not enough. Effort is effort and it does not always translate into something good.

If Beto's the answer I really, really, really don't want to hear the question.

Which of Everton's existing forward options is not very good?
