Jack Grealish has been one of the best players in the nascent stages of the Premier League 2025/26 campaign but insists that there’s more to come from him.

Grealish, signed on loan from Manchester City, was named the league’s Player of the Month for the first time in his career in August, is jointly on top of the assists list and scored his first goal in a royal blue shirt in the recent 2-1 comeback win over Crystal Palace.

The 30-year-old also leads the division for key passes (19), assists (four), expected assisted goals (2.4), carries into the penalty area (28) and progressive carries (49), while also taking the most touches in the opposition box (48).

Grealish, however, suggests that there’s more to come. “Yeah, of course. I think I know what I can give. I know how good I am,” he told evertontv.

“I want to give more. I've got four assists now, one goal, and we're in October. Who knows? By the end of the season, hopefully I can get many more and make the fans happy.”

Grealish opened his goalscoring account for his new club in the thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Palace just before the international break. Iliman Ndiaye converted from 12 yards after 76 minutes to restore parity while Grealish secured the win with a winner in the third minute of extra time, sending the over 51,000 Evertonians at the club’s new waterfront stadium into a frenzy.

Recollecting the emotional moment, Grealish said, “It’s brilliant. It’s so nice to score here, and do you know what’s mad? The last few games when we’ve been here, we’ve been drawing – and I keep saying to myself [around] the 85th minute: ‘Come on, Jack. Try to score. Imagine if you scored now.’  

“I did it against Villa and against West Ham and I didn’t score, so today I actually said the same thing again – and I scored. I ran to where my mum and dad were, so it was nice. That goal goes to all the Evertonians who have made me so welcome here.”

The win over Oliver Glasner’s side helped Everton continue their unbeaten run at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. They’ve beaten Brighton and Palace and have shared points with Aston Villa and West Ham at Bramley-Moore Dock.

“It's massive and I think I think to do well in the Premier League, you always have to make your home ground a place where teams find it difficult to come, and we've certainly done that this season,” Grealish added.

“We've been unbeaten here. It’s been nice and hopefully we can continue that because that's what we want to do. We want to make it difficult for teams to come. With the fans with us, that's the way it should be.”

Republic of Ireland legend Kevin Kilbane is baffled by Jack Grealish’s continued absence for England and says Thomas Tuchel must have a ‘personal’ problem with him.

The dynamic attacker played for England at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup but was left out of Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2024.

"Jack Grealish should be a part of the England squad now, he should be with them in this international break," Kilbane told Metro.

"The form he has shown this season and the way he has represented his country in the past, I see no reason or any good excuse why he isn’t playing international football.

"He may have to earn a starting spot as the squad is full of talented wingers who have been present in the squad since he played for England.

"Even if he doesn’t start for England, he has the ability to really affect a game if you bring him on with 20 minutes to go, and I think he would be valuable to have at the World Cup next year.

"I can’t think of a reason why he isn’t with the squad unless it’s personal. I think it must be personal.

"Thomas Tuchel looks to have his plans in place, and it seems as though Jack Grealish’s face just doesn’t fit."

In response to questions when Tuchel named his latest England team:

"Jack knows that I see how influential he is for Everton and is on the way to being the best version of himself.

"So, he has to accept it and nothing changes this decision against him or for the other players. It does not change my appreciation for his talent and personality."

Michael I think Kevin is wrong, it isn't personal. Tuchel has always played with pacy wingers. I would suggest that this and doubts surrounding his professionalism would be the overr-riding reasons.

I doubt Jack will recalled even if he keeps up his levels for the entire season.
