To Tony’s point look at Jordan Ibe and Brewster sold for 10s of millions between them based on “potential” one nos still in his 20s is playing for 400 a week in that 6 a side baller league, the other just released in a free transfer. Not a fan of his by any means but Tom Davies accomplished much more than either as did Kieran Dowell and JJK

We are a mediocre team pursuing really good players or prospects.

On most we'll be outbid or just not as attractive. But if we get one or two out of ten, job done. We got Grealish and KDH, and we will get help on the right.

But I doubt right away. More likely on loan at the end of the window. And we won't fill every vacancy in one window. Because we're going for the good 'uns, thank you. No more desperate punts like El Ghazi and Rondon and Maupay and Lindstrom and Broja. No more bodies just to fill holes.
