Everton Under 18s have been draw away at Millwall in the FA Youth Cup 3rd Round. The game takes place at The Den on Friday 5 December, kick-off at 7 pm GMT. Tickets are now on general sale.
This has proved to be a tough competition for the Young Blues since they last won the trophy in 1988, with Danny Cadamarteri, Leon Osman and Francis Jeffers among the goalscorers in a two-legged final defeat of Blackburn Rovers.
The Young Blues came very close when Wayne Rooney was bursting through the ranks a few years later in 2002, Aston Villa defeating them in the final.
Since then, it has been pretty slim pickings for the youngsters, with the Academy having gone through some rough years for a variety of reasons. But there are signs this season that the new approach from The Friedkin Group is putting a higher value on strategic investment in younger players.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £1 for under-18s.
Wheelchair/Ambulant Disabled supporters need to call 020 7740 3470 to book tickets between the hours of 9.30am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 9.30am-4pm on Fridays.

But for the umpteenth time, maybe it's the coaches who need looking at. Mind you, Leighton Baines wasn't very successful at that level... although he was later promoted to the first team coaching squad!

Keith Southern waxed lyrical about 15-year-old Harlow McEveley, who has been playing for the U18s. Southern has also praised Francis Boggan, who also plays at centre-back as well as McEveley.
“We also brought Francis Boggan on tonight, he would have started, but he'll start on Saturday instead, we don't want to give him too much football because he's only 14 so we don't want to lose him through an injury,” he said.
Who is Francis Boggan? Well, that intriguing question is left unanswered... but we are assured that Boggan has a long, long road ahead of him yet. The 14-year-old has now played twice for Everton's U18s in the U18 Premier League this season. He will now be preparing for his first start on Saturday against Wolves.
But, with 10 players out injured (that's just nuts, Dave... can we blame the coaches?) needs must.

Perhaps the world of website creators and designers is getting smaller and smaller... Just saying.
