Stoke CityU18s 3 - 5 Everton U18s

Everton U18s got off to a great start at Clayton Wood in this Saturday U18 Premier League fixture against Stoke City, scoring 3 goals in the first 15 minutes.

The first on the scoresheet was Jonathan Nsangou after just 6 minutes. Next was Cieran Loney who got in on the act 3 minutes later. And Jonathan Nsangou netted again after 15 minutes.

The home side pulled one back before the break, with the Blues going in ahead 3-1.

Stoke got another goal in the second half but that seemed to only spur on the Young Blues to greater things, substitute Freddie Murdock getting his first goal at this level, followed by Cieran Loney getting his second and Everton's fifth.

The home side pulled paack yet another goal but the Young Blues ran out winners with all the points.

Everton U18s: Patrick, Lambert, Poland, Evans, McEveley, Matos, Clarke, Pita, Loney, Nsangou, Wren.

15 years old Nsangou.

Played for the under 21s.

First I had read about him tbh.

Anyone seen him play?

Just snatches but at 15 playing for the Un21’s tells it’s own story, got to get him signed on those professional forms before he’s snatched by one of the big boys.

My thoughts exactly Dave.

Must be a mentally tough kid as well as his obvious talent.

On Jonathan Nsangou. He turned 16 on 16 January. So, we'll know a year from now if he's still with us.

On the club site, he's not shown as a U-21 or U-18 team member. I suppose it doesn't really matter, yet.

Aside from the club, it appears he's played for England U-16, but has also played for Poland's National team. He hasn't declared.

Here's a quick interview with him as part of an England Youth Instagram series.

1️⃣. Who is your biggest inspiration in football? -- my dad @theprofessornsangou because he is the reason I am where I am today -- not because of the club but because of long hard hours of private training with him physically and physiologically.

2️⃣. What club do you support? -- Real Madrid.

3️⃣. What is your best moment in football so far? -- training with Everton's first team.

4️⃣. At what age did you start playing football? -- I started at 3.

5️⃣. How many times do you train a week? -- 6 days a week.

6️⃣. If any, what pre-match preparations do you make? -- analysis before the game.

7️⃣. Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years? -- conquering the top leagues in football.

8️⃣. What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone aspiring to play for England one day? -- work in silence and let your performance do the talking.

9️⃣. Your go-to meal before a match? -- egg sandwich with sausage and beans.

🔟. Do you feel nervous before matches? If yes how do you cope? -- no only because I believe I've prepared myself in private to the extent where I believe in my performance in the game.

1️⃣1️⃣. What is the lowest point of your career so far? -- definitely the 2021-22 season where I left Blackburn and was looking for another club.

1️⃣2️⃣. Toughest opponent you have played against? -- Gremio -- Brazilian team.

Dave, (8) - Yeah, I stopped at that one, too.

Hope the boy signs with us.
