Tim Iroegbunam and Nathan Patterson’s future at Everton hangs in the balance with both players linked with a move to Italy on Deadline Day.
Iroegbunam has been linked with Lazio in Serie A with the Toffees apparently rejecting a £15 million bid for him last week, believing his worth is more than the quoted figure. However, according to The Telegraph, if the Italian side submit an improved offer before the end of the window, the Blues could be persuaded to let him leave.
Signed from Aston Villa in 2024, he has stepped up for David Moyes in recent games with the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall missing. However, he missed a few games with an unspecified injury and came off the bench in the dying minutes against Brighton at Amex Stadium.
With Dewsbury-Hall and Gueye returning and Harrison Armstrong continuing at the club, Iroegbunam is likely to fall down the pecking order. Everton also have James Garner, Charly Alcaraz and Merlin Rohl in the midfield department.
Meanwhile, Nathan Patterson has attracted interest from Genoa in Italy. “Genoa explore deal to sign Nathan Patterson from Everton on loan, only if Norton Cuffy leaves the club before the Deadline,” Fabrizio Romano posted on X.
Everton had been linked with Brooke-Norton Cuffy earlier in the window as they attempted to sign a right-back. Patterson has largely been a peripheral figure under Moyes. However, the 24-year-old left a positive impression recently after given a run of games due to the lack of available players.
He found himself on the bench in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Brighton, with centre-back Jake O’Brien returning to the wide role.

Can't be two teams that think he's a good player can there?
