Everton U18s 1 - 1 Leeds Utd U18s

A young Everton U18s side were pegged back with virtually the last action of the game at Finch Farm on Tuesday night when Leeds United stole a 1-1 draw at the death.

Kean Wren -- his 5th goal of the season --  gave the Yong Toffees a lead they held onto valiantly for almost the entire match until the 95th minute when, amid a goalmouth scramble, Leeds forced the ball over the line to equalize.

Everton U18S:  Patrick, Lambert, Billington, Evans, McEveley, Murdock, Stewart
(80' Aduda), Brookes, Robert (54' Doughty), Pita (66' Pemberton), Wren.

Subs not Used:  Gospel-Eze, Ayang.

Michael,

I think we both missed that Everton U18s played Leeds U18s at Finch Farm yesterday — Wren scored with a very good header to put us ahead but Leeds equalised in the last seconds of the game.

I believe the subs bench was full of 16-year-olds.

Barnsley has been recalled from his loan spell with Marine(?) because of the injury to Travers but is expected to go back if Travers recovers.

Thanks Dave. None of the reminders worked.

Mind you, I'm still in therapy after Monday night. I think it's impacting my mental health. Can I go on benefits?

It's worth a try, Michael, to go on benefits — half the team looked like they were on them the other night the way they used their football brains.

And the bleedin' manager looked bewitched, bothered and he always looks bewildered!

By the way, Michael, our FA Youth Cup tie v Man City is taking place 2 weeks tomorrow in Manchester, 13 March.

So you have plenty of time to get ready for it... mind you, not many on here seem excited about this highly rated trophy!
