No mention of Tiverton Town v Walton and Hersham ? Disappointing article. At least one home banker this weekend.

Until I got to the bottom, I didn't even know who was in the League Cup Final!

Oh dear... poor old Harry Maguire.

Red card for the softest of challenges and a lovely dive by Senesi -- a classic example of "He felt the contact and was entitled to go down." Foul, penalty, denial of a goal-scoring opportunity, red card, goal to Bournemouth. 2-2

Maybe the ref is confused because The Cherries are the ones with red shirts and Man Utd are all in white?

Strange inconsistent refereeing in the Manure game.

Same amount of contact on Amad in the Bournemouth area but no pen and then slabhead gets penalised for his push

is that normal Brighton v Liverpool game delayed as the Liverpool supporters are late arriving to the ground.

It’s not just the Liverpool fans Bill. It’s local traffic issues.

Watching Danny Welbeck lead the line so well today at his age reminds you what a proper centre forward is all about.

Contrast that to the ball bouncing continually off Beto and Barry last Saturday, it's mind boggling how we never seem to find one that can just do the basics well.

Jim, you are right.

A blind man in a gimp box buried underground could pick out better players and spot a striker before any of the wage thieves involved in player recruitment at Everton. We've suffered their incompetence over the past several decades.

Sadly, with the buffoon Kinnear at the helm, and Moyes owning responsibility for the Bollard Twins, I don't hold out much hope of a reprise.

I just don't get it all, Martin, that's all.

There are players out there that are capable of doing the basics and don't cost all that much. It's just that we seem to keep on going after the wrong kind of players with a mentality that doesn't seem to get it.

Jim, under Kenwright then Kenwright / Moshiri I think theres two reasons :-

1) Shady dealings

2) Their reputation for lying about the clubs future plans and the class of players coming in.

At first Kenwrights lies were hidden. It took a while for them and him to be found out.

Now, under the new regime, I am alarmed at the poor signings.

On TW and elsewhere theere are way better scorers and players available and named.

Yet Everton swerve quality for garbage frequently.

And pay ludicrous prices in fees and wages.

If there were shareholders then an enquiry would have commenced decades ago and the whole rotten player recruitment shambles sacked from top to bottom

Alas. .

"Leeds Utd -- 392 minutes without a Premier League goal.

Nooooo say it isn't so. What happened to that brilliant centre-forward they had?

So far this weekend, this now puts us on 55 points over the last 38 fixtures and in 10th place, behind Fulham on Goal Diff.

Villa 5th on 62, Brighton 60, Chelsea 58, Bournemouth 57.

2 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats in the remaining fixtures last year. We can do better. 2 games were under Dyche, 0-0 and 0-4.

Just watching MotD (again) and there were some very strange decisions in that Bournemouth - Man Utd game.

Apart from the obvious ones, no one is talking about the clear two-handed push in the back by Maguire when the score was 0-0. To me, that was the clearest of the lot.

Just looking at the Spurs lineup, I can't believe he's gone to a back five again, after playing so well with a back four against the redshite?

Bill if he has a bad spell, they'll probably sack him. But the right thing to do is back him, and give him time to reset the team.

Sadly football doesn't think like that. An asset is considered a liability, and the underlying reasons of under performance never dealt with.

Jesus, he's scored! It's a gift from heaven!

Good header. Spurs in trouble!!!

Richarlison looked disgusted to be subbed, Spurs fans leaving with 20 minutes left, in big trouble.

What odds would you have gotten on Spurs relegated to the Championship and Leicester City relegated to League One?

Quite possible!

Must have been nuts taking Richarlison off.

The only one with any fight in him.

I want Richarlison back at Everton -- proven player, loves Everton and coming into his prime at 28 years, I think he would be a super signing.

Neither Barry nor Beto are good enough moving forward, so one of them will go, probably Barry (rumours of Moyes losing patience with his antics).

Walking straight down the tunnel yesterday was poor form -- he needs to grow up. In saying this, he just doesn't look happy at Everton and an unhappy player is never a good fit.

I'd like him as well, Oliver.

A lot of decisions on players this summer...

Out of contract - Keane, Gana, Coleman, Mykolenko, George, Rohl, Grealish.

Out of contract in 2027: - Patterson, Alcaraz, Iroegbunam, Beto, King McNeil

Question marks - Barry, Dibling, Aznou

That is a lot of uncertain futures still.

Ian,

Moyes will want to keep Grealish, Keane, Gana, Coleman will be offered something to stay at the club ( I don't think it will playing contract ).

Mykolenko says he wants to stay but I think he will take the free option and move on.

Both full back positions need addressing, it's looking like Moyes isn't going to give the the young kid Aznou a chance anytime soon. Patterson will be sold I think.

Rohl is a big strong player, but has been hampered this season with injury so we don't really know if this is worth pursuing.

Alcaraz just does fit into Moyes plans as far as I can see, for me that's a shame - I like him.

Iroegbunam, for me is getting better, we got him with basically a swap deal with Villa for whatever it was £9million, so if we were to sell, we should make a few quid.

I have read that Chelsea only let George move to us with a guarantee he would play, that's why there was no insistence on a "must buy" clause on the loan - they are not happy he's getting no game time, probably because Mc Neill move did not happen - will he be sold ?

There is a bit of work to be done.

There's a 1-year option on Mykolenko. That will be triggered, and then he will be sold or given a longer deal.

Linked with Roma.
