Birmingham City U21s 1 - 1 Everton U21s

Joel Catesby of Everton U21s runs with the ball during the Vertu Trophy match againt Bradford City at University of Bradford Stadium on 14 October 2025.
Everton U21s snatched a draw at the death away at Birmingham City in their penultimate Premier League 2 game of the season at The Knighthead Training and Academy Grounds in Selly Oak on Friday night.
Joel Catesby returned for his first match since recovering from a broken leg he sustained last October, Braiden Graham making way... and replacing him for the second half.
Luca Davis (90') was the hero in the end, knocking home a goal for the travelling Young Blues in the last minute of normal time. The draw leaves Everton U21s in 18th place in the 29-team PL2 table, and at risk of missing out on qualifying for the Premier League International Cup next season.
Everton U21s: Lukjanciks, Davis, Van Schoor, Welch, Thomas, Bates (90' Samuels-Smith), Boakye, Akarakiri (70' Pita), Benjamin, Olayiwola (74' Gomez), Catesby (45' Graham).
