Promising Everton Academy forward Shea Pita recently turned 17 and has signed his first professional contract with Everton, running through June 2028.
The lively attacker who has an eye for goal, has successfully made the step up to Under-21s football in a breakthrough season for the boyhood Blue.
The 17-year-old Wales youth international scored on his debut for Paul Tait’s U21s and was also on the scoresheet at Hill Dickinson Stadium as Everton Under-18s progressed to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup with a 4-2 win against Ipswich Town.
“I feel amazing,” Pita told the Everton website. “It has been a dream come true. It is a great feeling to have signed my first professional deal. It has been a really good season for me so far.
“It was a bit of an up and down start to the season with injuries, but I think I found my feet towards Christmas time and I started really pushing up into the Under-21s. I have really enjoyed it.
“It is amazing to play at both Hill Dickinson Stadium and Goodison Park. I know all the history that Goodison Park possesses, so to score there was amazing.”
Pita came off the bench to make his Under-21s debut at the Grand Old Lady as the young Blues beat PSV Eindhoven 3-2 despite the Netherlands outfit taking a two-goal lead.
With the scores level and 11 minutes left on the clock, Pita breezed past his man inside the area and converted the subsequent spot-kick.
The tricky forward has since been a regular in Paul Tait’s matchday squad, with the youngster praising the influence of his head coach.
“He has been really good,” continued Pita. “All the players, coaches and staff have been really welcoming which has helped me settle in. I think I have settled in now and I am comfortable playing in the Under-21s.
“I am excited to keep improving and playing for this club that means so much to me.”

But he has Braiden Graham's problem: just a slip of a lad, not a muscle-bound athlete.
Next 4 years in the U21s before he's old enough to play with the big boys?

When I see Everton pay £42m (repeat: FORTY TWO MILLION POUNDS!) for a lad like Tyler Dibling (completely unproven), then I see a player like Boreham Wood's Abdul Abdulmalik in action, I actually wonder if Everton employ scouts any more.
"Ahh but Abdulmalik's never done it at the highest level"
Maybe, but anyone with eyes can see his control is great, his confidence is high, he scores, he assists and right now could probably be picked up for a song (and re Dibling, nothing against the lad, but a few mazy runs for Southampton is hardly doing it at the highest level).
I've had plenty of criticisms of Moyes over the years, but one thing I always gave him credit for was his willingness to ignore 'directors of football' and to go down the leagues to find talent.
I hope in the past few months, him and his team have been watching a few decent players in the lower leagues and are ready to pounce

Here are a few clips of Abdulmalik, the pocket Doku - Link
