Hill Dickinson Stadium will host the inaugraul Game4Hope on September 26th in a charity fixture designed to raise vital funds for Shelter and Everton in the Community, helping tackle homelessness.
The fixture will see Everton and Liverpool legends unite in a Merseyside XI, facing off against a World XI. Past players on both sides will be joined by celebrity faces, with live music from Tinie Tempah and other entertainment planned. The Game4Hope follows Prime Minister Andy Burnham's promise to bring an end to rough sleeping in the United Kingdom, with the fixture set to raise much-needed funds to ease the homeless crisis.
Peter Reid and John Barnes will manage the Merseyside XI, with ex-Everton favourites Leighton Baines, Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka, Yakubu, Joleon Lescott and Louis Saha among the ranks. Joining them will be Everton-supporting celebrities including Tony Bellew, Still Ryan, and Molly McCann.
There's plenty of pedigree signed up to represent the World XI, who will have Dutch greats Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Clarence Seedorf and Jaap Stam, and Brazilian World Cup-winning captain Cafu. Former British boxer Johnny Nelson and Ted Lasso actors Toheeb Jimoh and Moe Hashim are among the celebrities signed up for the World XI.

“Homelessness is one of the most urgent challenges,” Everton charity boss as “#Game4Hope” unites Merseyside for change
Sue Gregory, CEO at Everton in the Community, said called for fans to join the event and help combat 'one of the most urgent challenges facing our communities'.
“Homelessness is one of the most urgent challenges facing our communities, and we know only too well through our work across the Liverpool City Region that it can affect people from all walks of life," she said.
"#Game4Hope is about our city coming together to say that nobody should be without a safe and secure place to call home. Football has an incredible ability to unite people and, for one special afternoon, we’re putting rivalries aside and using that power to make a real difference.
"We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside Everton Football Club, Shelter and Legends Soccer to make this event possible. The funds and awareness raised will help us continue to be there for people facing some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable, while shining a light on both the visible and hidden reality of homelessness across our region.
"I hope supporters from across Merseyside and beyond will join us at Hill Dickinson Stadium for what promises to be a very special day for our city.”
