Jack Grealish has said he is delighted to return to Everton after feeling 'pure love' since arriving at the club last summer.
Grealish completed a second successive loan move to Everton on transfer deadline day, returning to Hill Dickinson Stadium after spending the 2025/26 season with the club.
The winger made 20 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring twice and providing six assists.
After a stress fracture in his foot curtailed his campaign, Grealish said it 'feels so good' to be back with the Blues after another campaign. He thanked the supporters for welcoming him last season and believes he is at his best when he 'feels loved'.
Delighted to be back at Everton, Grealish told evertontv: "It feels so good. I'm so happy. I think I'm at my best at everything in life, not just football, when I feel loved. That's what the manager has given me, what my teammates have given me and especially what the fans have given me.
"Every time I see an Everton fan, it's just pure love and the way they've welcomed me since that first game against Leeds, I'll never forget that. It means a lot to me and hopefully I've made a few Everton fans happy.
"I had a perfect time here for the first six months, then I stayed around after I got injured. I’ve been watching all the Everton games in pre-season and since the season started.
"Now I feel ready to go. I'm ready to start training tomorrow and prepare for the games.
"I can’t wait for this weekend. I have been doing everything I can in the past couple of months to get back to this moment.
"I will be going to sleep tonight with a smile on my face, ready for training tomorrow. I can’t wait to be back at Hill Dickinson on Sunday.”

You all loved all our old players, the players that were out on the piss week-in & week-out. Now Jack Grealish enjoys a party and you're all over him.
I couldn't care less if he likes a bevvy now and then, and I'm teetotal. Some supporters just seem to want to hate everyone that plays for us nowadays. He's not a fucking choir boy.

All the old players were on the piss then, so it was a more level playing field. I remember Bowles, Hudson, Osgood, Cook, Currie, Beattie, Channon, Best, Marsh, Worthington, etc etc, and they were fabulous players. And they're just the ones who weren't ours!
Nowadays, everyone is an athlete, they're given diet sheets, have all manner of tests taken, so there is less scope for piss-heads to thrive. And Grealish is a piss-head, which I have been told by several impeccable sources.
I don't want "a fucking choirboy", but I don't want Rab C Nesbitt either. Somewhere between the 2 is fine if his on-field performances match his salary.
I really hope that my fears are unfounded, and he starts scoring a few goals as well as numerous assists, but if you ask if I'd rather we kept Ili, or got Jack and his huge wages back, there's only one choice for me.

For sure I'd like him to stay sober and eek out his playing career, but he comes across as a cheeky guy, and I suspect having "fun" could be hard wired into this guy!
We can see where we go next summer when he's free from Man City, but if the love is real we get first refusal:)

I think all that love he got weighed him down and slowed his pace.
I'm still waiting to hear how he got that stress fracture in his foot, was it on the field? It took a long time to find out about it.

It seems that Grealish had been carrying the stress fracture for weeks ahead of the Villa game and it only came to light after he was seen for a calf issue post-match.
I'm a "glass half-full" kind of guy: I reckon the hidden stress fracture was the only thing keeping him from zipping up and down the pitch to your satisfaction.

I never saw him zipping up and down the pitch in the few months before he got that delayed foot fracture, but I saw him plenty of times conserving his energy after he'd gone on the attack and was still in an offside position when the ball had travelled down the field and had come back up again.
I won't be pinning my hopes on Jack in the coming season, but you like him so you won't be worrying about what I think of him, that's for sure.

I don't worry what you think but I still respect it as you know your football onions, especially regarding the youngsters.

Sorry to say Peter that was then but now I honestly believe Jack hasn’t got the energy to play in that position where you are in the game more and have to fight a lot more to keep hold of the ball, I believe Grealish needs that space out on the touchline to gather the ball and I don’t believe even there he doesn’t do enough positive moves to qualify for the overhyped, to me, praise he gets from Everton fans.
He’s here now and I’ll give him due praise when he deserves it but the opposite when he doesn’t, I truly hope I’ll be giving him a lot more of the former.

Once Harrison was staying, someone had to go in the fire sale, and looking at the money bandied about for lesser players this window, we have been shafted.
I do hope he remembers this Premier League club if his new employers get their just desserts over the 115 charges...

A year older, and no doubt ready to keep stopping, then passing the ball back to Mykolenko, who will be over the moon as he won't need to get forward as much as he started doing this season.
We should have signed Betty Ford to complement Jack.
