Penalty in a derby

Can anyone tell me when was the last time we had a penalty in a derby (at Goodison and Anfield) in either a Cup or league game?
In my lifetime I cannot think of one and I am 45!

April 2003, I believe, when David Unsworth scored in a 2-1 home defeat. As was noted on Monday, we haven't had a penalty at Anfield for 71 years!
Actually Lyndon we’ve had one. Wayne Clarke scored a pen at Anfield in December ’88 :)
Yeah Lyndon I heard one of the commentators on Monday say the same thing...that can’t be right its crazy

Ah, then that stat must have been Everton have only had one penalty in the last 71 years!
In that case we must surely be due one! Hopefully this Sunday. Actually I do remember the Wayne Clarke pen. I am sure he scored later on to make it 2-1 but the ref disallowed it.
Does that 71 years just apply to Everton or to teams visiting Anfield in general?
How many good goals have been disallowed against the shite?
Can everyone remember the Derby where there was 1 minute left of added time left on the clock. When the Liverpool keeper tried to kick the ball up field in a hurry, only for it to rebound of Franny Jeff?s head, loop over the goalkeepers head and trickle over the goal line.... only for the ref to blowup for full time just as it was crossing the goal line for a goal. Now that's bad as there was clearly time left!!!.... I?d love to know how many penalties they?ve had against us in the last 20 years....
Shaun I remember that!! FFS I was convinced we were up against Satan from that moment onwards!!! Unfuckingbelieveable.
Are you sure that it wasn’t Don Hutchinson? Apologies if I am wrong!
The ball actually hit Hutchinson's back and went in. The bastard ref ? Poll I think ? claimed he blew the whistle before it crossed the line but Sky Sports replays focused on Poll and proved he was a lying bastard and never had the whistle near his mouth.
Just another nail in the conspiracy theory.

And it was at Goodison too. God help us.
Sorry Guys, I thought it was franny but in my hurtful blue heart and the bad memories I had of that derby, I most probably mistaken... who ever it was it was Unfuckingbelieveable from the ref... I could’nt speak for shock walking home from that match. It would never happen to Liverpool... why does it happen to us??
Guys, whats the point, we are under penalty everytime we play them, either 11 v 12 (the ref) etc, etc, etc. Oh we could go on and on, I am relying on our boys to show the way and shut them up! COYB.
The ref was the complete and utter bellend, attention seeking Graham Poll. Cheating bastards, it annoys me when they deny that they have been helped out, look at the evidence for fuck’s sake!
I know what you're saying, Teddy, but it hurts when things like that happen. We look at history, denied our place in Europe top competion in the 80s, we get 4th they win the Champion League in the same season, let in the back door the next... History with RS does not favour us at all... I know we can?t change history and I know I sound bitter, I more than most want to shove this bitter history down there throats this Sunday. COYB.
Shaun, Totally agree about the history point you made, it makes us all so called bitter blues feel that way. When i read a post like yours it makes me feel PROUD to support a club with GENUINE HISTORY behind us as this club have, EVERTON our EVERTON!
Just read ?what the papers say? on the OS. In the Sun there is an apparent quote from Rafa implying that they will field a weakened team on Sunday. The Sun speculate that both Stevie GBH and Metrosexual Torres could both be on the bench or not used at all.
If this turns out to be true then we have absolutely nothing to fear since these are the only players they have that can turn big games. I was confident before, but if this is true I am certain we will turn them over.
Also, I work in Manchester and thought people might like to know that every Manure fan seems to have become an honorary Evertonian in the last couple of weeks!
Gary Corgan/Mark McDonald - Yeah, your right, Wayne Clarke did slot a penalty into the net in 88, right in front of the Blue fans in the away end. It was standing then and pretty much full with Evertonians. I celebrated from my seat in the RS main stand and was spat at and verbally abused (Who says the 80’s were friendly derbies?). My recollection on the disallowed goal, was that, it was Tricky Trev who scored with a far post header. TV pundits could see no offence, Typical! Another example of Derby game robberies.
I?ve hardly bought a drink since Monday ?cos of friendly types who know my affiliation and are now declaring themselves to ne ?Mancertonians?
Mind you, I do remind them not to gloat ?cos it?s their turn soon... [L8 and Essex]
Teddy Draper. Agree mate, what?s the point. Even when we do win, we still moan about the ref as no doubt the 50/50 decisions went their way. I?ve never known it any different from the day I watched from the Kippax at Maine Road as Thomas the twat disallowed Hamilton's goal. I was only 14 and with my dad and still can?t get over the sad looks on the faces around me.
Even worse was when we got to the car and got the radio on, we heard Thomas trying to worm his way out by saying ?an infringement occured?. When asked WHAT infingement, he repeated himself but never clearly saying why he disallowed the goal. He was asked was it a foul, handball or an offside. He never ever said, the shithouse. I just hope we are in the next round come Sunday night but I fear the ref will be making the headlines and not us or them.
Remember, we also have the media bias to cope with in these games. It?s not easy being a Blue but I wouldn?t want to be anything else.
Hopefully after tomorrow Stevie G will be on holiday courtesy of Her Majesty and miss a few more derby games.
Have a look at this and win a few more arguements against the redshite!
And if yer know yer istory..etc...

Stevie GBH will be there.
In a complete reversal of roles, the club will bail HIM out.
Yeh, there was that game a couple of years ago where we were 2-1 down and Carragher wrestled Lescott to the grou.... oh no hang on, Mark Cattenberg etc.
I was listening to Talk Sport about 3 months ago, Graham Poll was Mike Parry?s guest. Mike Parry asked him about the Hutchinson goal. He said he would like apoligise to every Evertonian. He said as soon as he disallowed that "GOAL" he knew he had made a terrible blunder.
Is there any Evertonians who can compile a dossier on the many bad decisions, disallowed goals, blatant penalties etc, etc.against Lucifer?s disciples. It would make interesting reading.
The first time I seen the Devil weave his magic spell was in 1961. The first Derby game after the dark side were promoted. My all-time hero Roy Vernon got a perfectly good goal disallowed. Roger Hunt equalised in the last minute. The luck they have is still happening to this day.
Another referee who never gets a mention when we mention cheating bastards is Alan Robinson from Waterlooville. This toerag actually missed 2 blatant penalties in different Wembley finals against Lucifers disciples. In the 1984 League Cup final who could ever forget Hansen's hand ball on the goal-line. He also missed another blatant penalty in the 1986 FA Cup final, when Sharpy was just about to head in a superb Tricky Trevor cross, when Steve Nichol bundled him over.
Martin Baker, you say tv pundits could see no offence, I remember it as if it were yesterday; there was one Jimmy Greaves who stuck up for us. I was still at school but remember watching it at home turning round with my head in the pillow as Clarke tucked away the penalty. He then proceeded later on in Jimmy Greaves's words to jump up, head the ball into the back of the net before he even touched the defender. We were robbed and its one of many that still wrankle with me now.
I should have gone to school the next day giving some stick to some of the darkside. I've had a few reds avoid me this week at work despite the fact I wouldn't lower myself to mouth off over a draw, let alone a win, to them. Should we not get the right result on Sunday, they will all come out the woodwork next Monday at work guaranteed!
In fairness, I think Torres had a stonewall pen turned down on Monday against us! (Although that doesn?t nearly make up for the number of times we've been done over.)
