Arteta Injury??

Comments (12)

Just wondering if anyone out there knows the extent of Arteta's injury, and how long it might keep him out for?

He's clearly CRUCIAL to our setup, as we had no-one in the middle to take the ball from the back and take control.

If he IS out for a while, are we likely to see Ossie fill that void? I know in the few games before he moved Arteta back to the middle, Moyes moved Ossie to the holding role and I actually thought he looked pretty good there.

I said a few days ago that we have no decent replacements for Arteta, Howard and Cahill. Fellaini and Cahill will probably get suspended before the season's end so that is a problem. Arteta injured and no information yet from the club as to the extent. I have said over and over again that we MUST invest something to supplement our threadbare squad who are performing heroics... BUT for how long???

AMBITION should be key for a club of EFC?s stature and fan base and I cannot believe that every other club in the league have money and we don't!!

Moyesey has said that we?ll have Arteta, Fellaini (and probably Saha!) back for the replay :-) With Cahill on 4 yellows and games against Arse and Manure up next, I guess Timmy is gonna miss a game soon :-( I think we need to properly blood Gosling and Rodwell as they?ll be needed sooner rather than later.

It is sad that AVDM seems ever unready to play, Moyes said in interview of EvertonTV that he saw no-one on the bench to offer anthing more in an attacking sense at Anfield... a sad indictment on Shandy Andy indeed. COYB... 3 massive games in a row, if only we could wave a magic wand to keep all the lads fit and fresh!!!

Please don?t believe it, Trevor. We do indeed have no money, only we?re not alone. Supposedly rich clubs are simply millions in debt and as Wenger has said, they?re going to get bitten on the arse.

Admittedly I paraphrased somewhat just then, but you get the gist.

Sam... I repeat myself (a la Benitez) but how bloody annoying is it when Arthur Spokesman of EFC says we can get £10 million ?easily? to replace the Bellefield no-sale? Yet we can?t get any cash to support the team ? show?s where the official priorities lie, utter bollocks!

Mind you, old Arthur could be lying?

Fair point, Phil, there may be some ?ring-fencing? going on but I?m pretty certain we have debts of £80m?

From the OS:

"There’s a chance Mikel will be back to face Arsenal on Wednesday. But we have got through two games now without top players, with Fellaini suspended from both.

"We may not have won them. But we have not lost. And next time around Arteta and Fellaini will both be back. Saha maybe too."

Good news for the replay! In fact not good news, great news! Lets fuckin’ hammer em!

Its a rib injury isn’t it? Guess it can only be a minor thing if Moyes has him down as a posibility for the Arsenal game. I’m gutted I can’t get to a game until we play Bolton at home... hopefully the wind will still be in our sails by then. One impressive win from our next 3 games would keep the spirits up and push us on to a European place come May.

Only one thing seriously lacking with Everton: as I see it, we have no pace... none at all. Whoever we sign next, either in the window or summer, please let him have pace. Even when we are on the break, defenders easily get back in time... since AJ left we've got no one.

Heard from a taxi driver on the way to the match that it was a ding-dong on the training ground with Hibbert and Hibbo twatted him. Anyone else heard anything?

Apparently he has badly bruised ribs caused by a clash with Hibbo in training.

It's not clear whether Hibbo "Twatted him" to quote Phil or whether Hibbo "Clattered him" in a tackle.

I think he would want to play against Arsenal so let's hope he?s recovered. Where are the "Loan" players we so obviously need. Keep watching this space!!

I thought we discredited the Hibbert "twatted him" theory the other day as it was revealed he has been carrying the injury since the Hull game. I think some mischief-makers started the Hibbert story because they object to having a midget, talentless, Neanderthal-looking hoofer in the team.
