At Last...An EFC Fan Commentating On National Radio

Comments (6)

After years of Alan "I Love Stevie G" Green, the of balance of national radio reporting swings towards the Blues.

Talksport Co-commentator on the home game with Wigan this Sunday will be true-blue red-scarf-stamping Culture Secretary Andy Burnham MP! - see http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/mediamonkeyblog/2009/apr/03/andy-burnham-football-pundit

"I am very much looking forward to being part of the TalkSport team on Sunday, and will be struggling to hold my composure as Everton thrash Wigan," says Burnham.

I thought the point of having a commentator was to give a fair and impartial running commentary on a game. Alan Green doesnt fall into that because he is a disgrace. His blatant brown nosing of the Sky 4 verges on embarassing. And he hardly ever has any positive comments to say about the majority of the other teams in the PL. How the BBC can continue employing this pillock of a man is beyond me. And to think WE are paying him through our TV liscence!!! Lets stuff the Latics, COYB

Sorry Alan - Craig is absolutely right. I agree that we are owed a bit of payback, but that doesn’t mean balance, and it certainly doesn’t mean unbiased neutral comment. And of course, if Craig ran for TW President on a ’Sack Alan Green’ ticket, he would stand a very good chance.

I’m not a big fan of R5’s Fighting Talk, but at least they are supposed to be opinionated. I caught a few minutes today when Pat Nevin demolished Benitez in about twenty seconds. Almost worth the licence fee.

Andy Burnham MP, isn’t he the guy who wants to regulate the internet? Hardly ever challenges the New Stassi government.

How Andy Burnham voted on key issues since 2001:

* Voted strongly against a transparent Parliament.
* Voted very strongly for introducing a smoking ban. votes,
* Voted strongly for introducing ID cards.
* Voted very strongly for introducing foundation hospitals.
* Voted strongly for introducing student top-up fees.
* Voted very strongly for Labour’s anti-terrorism laws.
* Voted very strongly for the Iraq war.
* Voted very strongly against an investigation into the Iraq war.
* Voted very strongly for replacing Trident.
* Voted very strongly for the hunting ban.
* Voted very strongly for equal gay rights.
* Voted for laws to stop climate change. vote

From tomorrow happily part of a government who can look at our emails, monitor phone calls and check the websites we visit.

How much did he claim in expenses last year?
And he’s a true blue Everton fan?????

A typical modern day nuLab/ye_olde_Tory clone. They are all in it for themselves and no one else.

I saw him in the lounges patting his mate Kenwright on the back and laughing. He’s a joke.

Stephen, what’s the difference between "voted for", "voted strongly for" and "voted very strongly for"?

Given that this is an Everton forum, all I’m interested in now is how uncannily accurate his prediction that we would thrash Wigan was - if he could that 9 more times this season, we’d be happy!
