Piss poor game...

BUT WHAT A RESULT!!!

Just got home, so sorry for any typos ? but BUZZIN MY BOOBS OFF!!

Shocking game ? after seeing the United's line-up I really thought we would have gone hell for leather to beat this, poor, and very under-strength United side, but no... .for some reason we backed off and let the Old Trafford kids have their own way.

120 minutes later and we were still shocking ? Neville had a great chance to score, but the outcome was obvious, Saha was close to taking Foster for a mug... but apart from that we were poor!!!

So to penalties... Cahill... oh my GOD!!!! The Evertonian on the pitch misses... does not bode well.

10 minutes later... who gives a flyer ? we are in the FA CUP FINAL ? and I am the buzz of a pub in Bolton!!! Bring on Chelsea... we need a Villa performance and we will be FA CUP WINNERS!!! AND IF YOU KNOW YOUR HISTORY!!!

Have a great night, Si. It was a marvelous spirited performance by the entire team who thoroughly deseved to win.

Unfortunately, we played with the usual inferoirity complex we seem to adopt when we play, allegedly, top sides .For the final, more will be required. Where can it come from?

Saha showed a few nice touches and the desire to play with some guile. He is obviously miles from being match fit and I hope that he gets as much football as possible in the next few weeks. He might just give us a little more quality.

Also, more football for James Vaughan before 30 May would give us something different on the bench. Until then, let's enjoy the glory. Okay, United started with a weakened team but the arrival of Scholes,E vra and Berbatov coincided with Everton taking control of the game. The supporters today were magnificent and put United to shame. Wish I could have been there.

Andy, I just want to echo what you said about our supporters. The sight of Jag?s penalty bulging the net was equalled only by the unbridled joy on the faces of our wonderful fans. I feel so happy for them, and for all us long-suffering Blues. Depsite what my wife might say, the second bottle of wine will be opened soon, to be enjoyed during the ITV highlights. I was half expecting an ad for Lynx to flash up, just as Jags struck his pen! But today? Heck, even ITV were heroes.

I started following Everton in the mid 80s after watching the fans at Wembley ? and last night took me back as the fans really did put the United support to the sword. Their singing gave me goosebumps down here in NZ. I slept thru my alarm so only got to see from extra time on (maybe that was a good thing) but I thought Baines looked very good ? and a great penalty from him and Jags too. I also thought the Setanta commentators were miserable to our team ? who cares tho, it's the final now!! COYB

Sorry to disappoint you, Si but it wasn?t a ?Piss Poor? game by any stretch of the imagination. It was a tight 0-0 with either team likely to score with any attack as the game wore on. Thank God it wasn?t them eh! Good game as 0-0s go I say.

Being based in Brisbane, a 1am-3am game on a Monday morning isn't really the best time...

But at 3.45am here, I was bouncing around my living room, feels like a dream now I?m in work after a few hours kip.

It wasn't a great game was it, but who cares, who remembers the losing FA Cup semi-finalists...?

Sounds like the pitch wasn't great and the game did appear slow and lethargic.

When Cahill missed, I could hear the "Here we go again" from the other side of the world.. I thought our fans were awesome..

Another Brisbane based Toffee who sat transfixed in the middle of the night. I didn?t get a wink of sleep I was on to big a buz and kept replaying it in my head.

A big thanks to all the fans who created such a great atmosphere for the lads. Looking to the final, can Moyes get us through against another master manager in Gus Hiddink?

Another Downunder Blue here (Adelaide) ? I wonder how many of us there are? And how many of us set that alarm and where jumping around the lounge at 3am waking the nieghbours?

Which brings me to my point: My theory on the noise the Blues fans were making as opposed to United's lot (yes I could hear it loud and clear and I was watching on a really bad internet feed); half of the red lot where only there to see the ?big? names, some of them probably thought they where at the wrong game when they saw the line-up! I'm thinking of the word ?bandwagon? here.

Everton fans (and players) are a different breed, once you put that blue shirt on, you're family. If we had to start with half our reserves (and lets face it, it was looking that way at times this season!) the support and performance would'nt have been any less.

Warriors indeed! Now let's do a double over the other ?Blues?! My man of the match ? for 10 seconds of sheer composure: JAGS!!!!!

I have to comment on the fans as well. Watched the game in the States at 11 am. Four of my sons with me. I kept saying to them, "Do you hear them? They?re willing them to win!" The fans there so outshined Manure?s. They were absolutely spectacular. Could hear them loud and clear, and my God were they loud.

So proud! Absolutely fantastic! Neighbors actually stopped by to see what the fuss was about ? they could hear us screaming like madmen.

When Jags buried it, we all ran outside screaming. Surrounded by naive Americans, they had no clue why... And we couldn?t have cared less. Those fans at Wembley are a credit to EFC, as are all our fans. SO PROUD! COYB!!!

Watched the game in Sydney with 3 Manure and 1 fellow Toffee. Didn't get much sleep and like everyone else am still basking in the joy of getting to an FA Cup final again. However, after we calm down, I thought it would be good to reflect back on the game and how we played.

From my point of view, it was a pretty tight game with not that many clear cut chances. Central defenders dominated and (unfortunately) Vidic in particular was immense. Our main aerial threat, Fellaini, was basically nullified and Cahill playing deeper was very quiet. Saha showed some good skills but might have been more effective coming on later in the game. There were a lot of solid performances - Jags, Lescott, Nev & Baines.

Hibbert did ok defensively but not really comfortable on the ball. Osman did ok too, drifted in and out a bit but still tried to create a few things. I thought Pienaar was very lively throughout and most likely to create something. Rodwell always looks composed and great to see Vaughan back buzzing around.

The only things I would have changed would be maybe Jacobsen at RB as he is far more comfortable on the ball than Hibbo. Possibly could have given Gosling a short run near the end. At the end of the day, Moyes & boys got us the result so I guess we can't quibble too much.

Great to see so many Evertonians is Aus / NZ. It just reminds me of the fact that we are, as Alex Ferguson pointed out last week, a big club indeed.

Watched the game at Charles Dickens in Melbourne, Australia, with I?d say, 20 other Everton supporters... Outnumbering the Man United supporters which was a big surprise and the rest were neutrals. Generally supporting Everton as well. Had the chants going and damn we were a rowdy bunch.

A great game. I didn?t set an alarm, just stayed up, no way I could sleep. Now feeling the after-effects at work :( got too much beer and bourbon on my jacket too...

I watched the game in Auckland, NZ and have no nails left. The blues support at Wembley was magnificent. I agree with Steve Green it wasn?t a bad game. To really strong defences slugging it out. Let's face it, had the Manure won they would be hailed as wonder kids.

I thought maybe another striker might have made the difference earlier in the game, but who cares now. For me I didn?t see a player in a blue shirt who did not work their socks off or who shirk their responsibilities. I?d rather be in the final than lose looking good.

COYB! we can go one better, I have no doubts.

I also think Davey out Alexed Sir Alex with the Mike Riley comments ? he?s learning. Bring on Chelski.

To the boys in Brisbane, there's also a few lads on the Gold Coast. As you know, we had a get together earlier this year ? any plans for the final? Where can we all get together to watch it? Any ideas?
