Ticket Error

After a successful season watching our beloved Everton I had decided to buy 3 season tickets and take my partner and the old man to Goodison Park next season.
I live in London but still managed to watch 7 home games last season and have decided to make more of an effort and hopefully play a part in Everton's transition into a side capable of challenging for honours (HOPEFULLY!).
I purchased 3 tickets via the Box Office 2 weeks ago, behind the goal in the Gwladys Street end (seats F 109, 110 and 111). I have gone onto Evertonfc.com today and looked at my purchase history and, to my surprise, seat 110 has been cancelled and moved to Row G seat 105. The change effectively means that none of us are now sat together.
I have just phoned the Box Office to ask :
1. Why has the seat been changed?
2. Why has it been changed without anyone contacting me first?
3. What now are my options?
Unfortunately the person who changed the ticket is not in until Monday so I will get a call back then to get some answers.
I am assuming that the seat has been sold twice, and was wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiences with the Box Office?

G'day James. Don?t have the same problem as it may be tough getting to games living in Perth, Western Australia, but your scenario has reminded me of an incident when I was over to watch some games a couple of years ago.
My brother, dad and I organised tickets through a mate and had our tickets before game day. Got to the ground about an hour before kick-off and we made our way to our seats. Upon getting there, we noticed that there were other people in our seats and we asked the gentlemen if they were in the right spot. They told us they were season ticket holders and these were their allocated seats.
An official checked both groups' tickets and told us that we were to move to the emergency area where seats were available to address scenarios such as these. After initially getting pissed off, we eventually got over it and watched our lads beat Manchester City 1-nil.
Still can?t believe they have a contingency plan for situations such as these. There shouldn?t be a need for it as it just shouldn?t bloody happen!!!
Had a similar experience to Steve against Chelsea some years ago. Our seats were taken ? by season ticket holders ? so we were moved from Lower to Upper Gladwys, where there were no seats together. Stewards were more interested in the game (which had kicked off by this point) than finding us a seat. Got home, rang the club on Monday to give them a bollocking ? lo and behold, 4 tickets anywhere in the ground for a game of our choice. We chose Sunderland at home on Boxing Day and stuffed them 7-nil. Happy days.
Well things must be improving...
Not so long ago we couldn?t sell a seat once.
James, I have heard of this type of incident before. A mate of mine did exactly the same as you. He bought tickets (funnily enough in the lower Glwadys) and found that he couldn?t use them as he was moved to a different area. By chance he discovered that someone in the box office was using his seat. Check it out!!!
The same thing happened to me when I bought my first season ticket also in Lower Gwladys a few years back. The reason I was moved I had taken a seat of an existing user despite the period for him to renew having passed and the seat being released. Apparently he had tried to renew but it hadn't worked, he complained and was given his seat back and I was moved.
I can?t argue with that ? it was his seat. What annoyed me was I was not told ? just simply moved; hey claimed they tried to call. Anyway as an apology after I ranted, Everton gave me a 10% discount. All you can really do is ask for another 3 together ? I?m sure they will find them for you.
Dear James, I hope your season tickets are sorted to your satisfaction. It goes to show what terrific supporters we have, when they are prepared to travel such distances to watch our beloved blues.
Fuckin'ell, mate - you should know that Everton are and always have been, a complete and utter administration shambles. They can?t get anything right and it?s been the same for as long as I can remember ? I?m 32 now.
If they can?t put you 3 together anywhere else, tell 'em that you want your money back and see where that gets ya.
It?s a fuckin? joke and there is no excuse at all.
James,
I am also a Putney-based toffee who travels up as much as I can. Am considering buying a season ticket or looking for a share with other London-based blues.
If you think one of your tickets ? which I hope get sorted out for you, unbelievable mess ? could be an option here please drop me a line!
