Well Richard Dodd, where is Moyes' signed contract? You were spouting on here last week, that there would be great (in your opinion) news coming out of Goodison today, and after ironing out a few wrinkles, Moyes would be putting pen to paper. Now, I know it's still only tea-time, but with the lads gearing up for tonight, I just can't see it, can you? Your sources have got to be the shittest around, every prediction you come on here with, turns out to be a load of shite. One more thing, if Moyes does sign by the end of midnight, I will come back on here tomorrow, with a written apology.

you?re getting even funnier than your uncle Ken.
He used to rave about the diddy men too.
I am afraid that even though the lads played better than I expected it was still men against boys.
Until we voice our disappproval of the shambles Kenwright has created we will not go anywhere except the championship.
There is obviously a reason Moyes?s contract is "still with the board" and it is not healthy for the club.
You don’t even make it as court jester, in fact you are the opposite of the court jester, whose job it is to tell the establishment things they don’t want to hear....Therefore ....if we are not the establishment, who appointed you anti-jester.
I suspect Mr Dodd sat at his computer last night typing this with a big smirk on his face, knowing that people like Tony Marsh (boy am I looking forward to seeing what that man has to say today) will rise to the bate and it can all kick off again while Doddy leans back on his chair chuckling to himself!
At the risk of repeating that which others have already said, our season is now almost over. Almost before it has begun !
I assume that Jagielka was, possibly, talking about staving off the possibility of relegation ?
As for the F.A. Cup, our recent record in that competition does not look too good.
So that’s it then. Roll on next season !!
Now, match that with Everton who have very well publicised difficulties on three fronts, the ground move, investment and perilous state of the team. yet Kenwrong claims success and Moyes, despite being a poor manager, claims he can see Everton out of this mess.
Simply death defyingly odd. Moyes has to accept responsibility for the poor showing by the team, which stretches back to last season’s exit from Europe! This is not an overnight wonder. The crap has been played off and on for 6 years. I can no longer countenance such excususes, crap communication and bad play. These guys earn millions....My ’fume’ monitor is going to explode....Moyes and Kenwright have gotta go and GO NOW for the good and future of this club. Pleasant soundbites don’t do it anymore.
If we wanted your propaganda, we would subject ourselves to the drivel by actually logging onto that website.
Tonight’s defeat was not "noble" it was excruciatingly painful. Despite having a better paid and more expensively assesmbled squad, we were beaten by a better side in all departments - more solid in defence, stronger in midfield, (much) faster and more skilful in attack. Moyes got the tactics wrong, didn’t counter their strengths or exploit their weaknesses the way they did with us. And unforgiveably he played Neville last night in midfield rather than Castillo. Anyway, we all know this!
And this is no blessing in disguise. Football is a confidence game like all sports, and defeat breeds defeat. European football attracts players to clubs, and for one thing it will now be considerably harder for us to attract new (desperately needed) quality players in January.
Sorry Richard, there is no positive spin on this one. Sometimes a defeat really is a defeat.
Positive from Moyes?
Admittedly he decided to play 442 but with his mate PIP in CM? And when, for once, hoofball may have work against a keeper looking even more dodgy than our own, Moyes decides to play along the floor?
Maybe a positive selection (in parts) but another lack of effective change when it’s obviously needed
Any chance you can answer his question ?
It’s all about balance, you have Christina "dirty " Aguilerra and then you have Amy "smackhead" Winehouse, two extremes of music "beauties"
They are both fakes and they don’t half make the interweb traffic soar.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he was a plant from the club..some spurs supporting moron journalist hired as a spin merchant for the ássholes on the board.
An after going out last night its the last thing we needed.
Neil Pearse you have just confirmed to me that Moyes is damned if he does and damned if he doesn?t. People have slated him for playing Hoofball and for the team not passing. They try and pass ( granted it was pretty much side to side and backwards) and you have a go at him for not hoofing it long.
I now find it difficult to know who is real and who actually means what they say as their could be many fake posters on here posing under various guises just to cause a stir and spoil decent threads of debate for us genuine posters.
For all we know it could be a Koppite taking the piss laughing at us and spoiling our enjoyment of Toffeeweb.
I guess we will never truly know but I know for sure that this is my last post on the ’Richard Dodd’ topic as I am certain that it is all a wind up now after the above comments from ’Richard Dodd’, whoever he/she/it may be.
David Collins, you are banned for making false accusations... and being illiterate. ? The Editor
Stay strong, Richard. We’ll win out.
Nice bloke, all in all, and Everton through and through but his positivity does grate on one, I can tell you!
What are we losing - we did well last year but didn’t win the trophy and what did we get for our efforts - something like £980,000. 00. Hardly a King’s fortune and we also found that with our small squad being in the UEFA Cup, Carling Cup, vying for 4th place in the League was just too much for us.
We have got to keep the faith and get behind our boys in blue....what are we - rats deserting a sinking ship? No let’s leave that for the scum across the park - I do honestly believe their time will come!! Come on - you know it makes sense!!
I suspect that after what he has achieved for the club ? and it?s much more than restoring respectability, he feels under-valued in comparison to others of his profession. I have not the slightest doubt that all the Sky4 men plus Ramos, Hughes and O?Neill are in receipt of £4M + a year contracts and given that our club would have earned huge bonuses from the Premier League for the regular top six finishes he has achieved,he feels he should be similarly rewarded.
Now I know, because it?s in the public domain, that Kenwright has gone pretty close to what Davey is demanding but I do believe that the £4M figure has now become a matter of principle rather than the grasping for more it?s been made out to be. I know I?m not alone in thinking it?s now time for Kenwright to put us all out of our misery, pay the man his due and let him get on with what he?s very good at.
It’s a shame your posts are now merely a ’wind-up’ guaranteed to raise the hackles of those lacking your post-modern irony. I remember when your positive, up-beat posts were a welcome diversion to the doom and gloom merchants, not least because they still had some objectivity and grounding in realism.
I do hope to see the return of the real Doddy in the forthcoming weeks, not the pantomime version shown by this posting (’nobility’ FFS - Florentina (H) last year was a noble effort, not last night’s one), just as I hope Marshy leaves his black cape and music hall villan moustache in the props box at the Everyman.
You’re both better when the posts are intended to inform and spark debate, rather than fulfil the sterotypical role you feel necessary to perpetuate.
I must make it clear that the post that heads this thread was not in response to Brian Waring?s piece which had not appeared when I wrote in.
I understand from Sky Sorts website that David has, as expected, re-iterated his desire to stay at Everton although talks on his contract continue.
I seem to remember someone (not Alex May!!) suggested that that should be my surname when I was saying that the team had ’bottled it’ against Chelsea in the semi final, had struggled to beat Derby 1-0 (was that really our last clean sheet ?) and that we had to improve for the next season. After the Chelsea and the Fiorentina games (even with us achieving 5th place) I’d hoped that the team would be strengthened in pre season and that Moyes would change his safety first tactics. Unfortunately two of our routes back into Europe have evaporated (and the chance of some exotic trips that Portsmouth, Man City, Villa and even Spurs ffs have to look forward to!) so it has to be the league position or bust. To win the FA Cup always requires a little luck with one of the games and at the moment I can’t see that coming our way ! So as we have no midweek European distractions with a Thursday then a Sunday game, our players should be fitter and less tired than our rivals. If we are playing once a week against teams who have already played in Europe then we should run them into the ground. Nothing less than a do-or-die attitude will be enough. Stop the excuses. Leave the pitch exhausted. Moyes to take bold decisions and play for a win. The will to win must be greater than the fear of failure. Aim for the Top 4. Not just a top 10 place. If the players and manager aren’t up to that then find somewhere else that will pay you a massive wage. We want winners not whingers. And as for the board they can all shape up or ship out.....
Let’s say no more on the subject,PLEASE!
The complete lack of balance in what he posts undermines his credibility for most posters, with Marsh's over-the-top condemnations producing a similar effect that devalues whatever he may be saying that actually makes sense. But I would implore you all to treat most posts on here as genuine, from real Evertonians, and to use the Comment Abuse facility for any you feel genuinely are not. We will investigate, and take the necessary action.
Reminds me when I was a boy and whichever ground you went to there would always be a fan (always male and often elderly) who would wear home made rosettes and hat in their teams colours, an ancient woollen scarf, an umbrella painted in the colours, possibly a fancy embroidered waistcoat and holding a sign with "Up the Blues/United/Rovers/Clarets" etc. He would wave genially to the crowd while walking around the side of the pitch before the game and he was probably one of the few in the ground who recalled the glory days of the team. A Third Division (North) title and a good cup run where the mighty Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday or Blackpool were held to a draw at home before playing at their ground in front of 70,000 in the replay. Richard Dodd may be the modern day equivalent :0)

Whilst we can be rightly proud of the qualities of both skill and spirit that our boys displayed earlier and the totally positive approach our manager applied to tonight's task, I think we will all breathe a sigh of relief that we can now get on with the really serious and, after all, profitable, end of the business.
As the excellent Phil Jagielka was moved to say at interview after the game,"This could well present Everton with the chance really achieve in the Premier and FA Cup." Amen to that, I say.
