'That`s another fine mess....'

I think it true to say that the vast majority of Evertonians are greatly underwhelmed by the news that Moyes has been tempted with a king's ransom to stay on another five years. Perhaps he's done enough to justify a two-year extension with a 20% rise but five bloody years on double the money? That's plain bloody daft.
Of course, with Kenwright at the helm, it's what's to be expected. Initially welcomed as a saviour, he got off to a bad start by kicking King's Dock into touch. He took a long time to do the same with Walter but partly redeemed himself with the appointment of his successor. Trouble is, he fell in love with the man and has now rewarded him with a ludicrous contract which may well prove an impossible burden to him and the Club.
In the meantime, he makes another unwise decision to pin all our hopes for a new ground on 'Tesco in the Sticks' and compounds it by having a skewed poll which splits our supporters as never before. Then, dealt a 'get out of jail card, he decides to plod on with the scheme whilst simutaneously announcing "I'm outa here", if only that smooth man from Seymore Butts can find a bonkers billionaire!
Those of us old enough to remember the man with the ladder and paint pot will long have associated Blue Bill with that scene-although I'm never quite sure which of the two comics he best plays. You see, they were both compulsive fuck-up merchants but, on balance, I'll go for Big Olly ? he never told the truth about anything either!

Sorry if I got it wrong but that’s my impression not only from Toffeeweb but also my Evertonian mates.
I suppose I should have just said, ’I think Blue Bill’s fucked up again!’
I rate Moyes.. yes, he could throw caution to the wind at times when appearing to be negative and over defensive but at least we are moaning about gaining a regular berth in Europe each year.
I think that the awful hoofball is a sign that we lacking confidence at the back; once we get back into winning ways it will dry up, players will become comfortable in possesion, they will be wanting the ball again, no one hiding or shitting themselves, the stringing of passes will return. Moyes's signing will help settle things down and should give the players a bit of a boost.
Give Moyes his due, we might have become another Nott Forest or Leeds if we got relegated from the Premier League, we just couldn't have taken the loss of the annual treasure that comes from Sky and not being in the top flight would have totally fucked us. We were heading that way when Moyes took over but he has made sure that we are still in there. therefore Moyes deserves the chance. I am suprised at the size of the offer he has received and the time to resolve, possibly hinting that it is on the back of a take-over.
I am now expecting to see us do things that we could only dream about, the manager will have to produce to the level invested in him and has got to deliver the club success. I really hope he can and prove that he is the ?Moyesiah?, he has saved us, now he has to step up and totally prove to us. Will he prove and justify his worth? Can he? He wants to be successful and wants to do it with us. Time will tell and we will see... I am prepared to back him, the better we do, the longer he will be with us........ LONG LIVE MOYES - COYB
Moyes’s threatening a rebild today may be the rocket the squad needs to refocus their minds. But until the moular comes the league placings show hes been doing a job for everton.

You would also be likely to believe the vast majority of Evertonians are againt the stadium move (when in fact survey says otherwise) because again you read the negative Toffeeweb.com.
You must take Toffeeweb?s slanted view and dilute it with the "other" news sources.
