A sign of things to come?

As a slightly disgruntled fan, I was initially disappointed that Moyes signed his contract for two main reasons: 1, I thought he'd taken the team as far as he could; and 2, with the squad he's built, I feel we go into game very defensively... 4-5-1 and Hoofball.
But this morning I am very pleased to read that the man himself acknowledges the quality deficit this teams are showing and that mostly he needs to rebuild the squad. <-- I am a bit tired (and bored frankly) of coming on this forum and reading about how rubbish Moyes has been and from the comfort of their armchairs fans could do better... whatever!!-->
From the top 4 teams, we are seeing a level of consistency on the field and financial backing of it which is unprecedented in the modern game. The result of which has locked out other teams from Premier League titles, Champions League spots and pretty much the FA Cup (I note the occasional exception with the FA Cup, but it doesn't guarantee a CL place).
So we need to look at Moyes's achievements in this context; he hasn't had a lot of money to spend and, with last-minute transfer now his calling, it does suggest he isn't given the finances to get who he really wants. For example, with a proper transfer budget, would we have signed Saha, Jacobsen, Castilio on loan? No, we'd have signed better, more consistent performing players, not cast-offs. So Moyes has to play with what he's been dealt.
Some people just want too much and unrealistic expectations have been set. Even 'one of our own', Neville Southall has said top 10 would be alright. Moyes wants better players to play better football, let's get behind him and see if he really is going to leave a legacy that he is suggesting he wants... as he indicates in that Independent article.

Not easy to please, he has said himself that he needs to rebuild it.
6½ years which shit all money, in years gone by buying players to ?get heads in? ? that isn?t building a squad, that is more patching up. Interested to hear why I?m wrong.
How am I missing your point? You said " As a slightly disgruntled fan, I was initially disappointed that Moyes signed his contract for 2 main reasons, 1 I thought he’d taken the team as far as he could, 2 ,with the squad he’s built, I feel we go into a game defensively... 4-5-1 hoofball " So my point is, Moyes then comes out with spouting some shite, and all of a sudden you are happy again, and stating that you are tired and bored, coming on here, and reading about how rubbish Moyes is. Make your mind up mate. As I said " Yeah but, no but, yeah but... "
My point is that I was disappointed initially because I’d expected 5 more years of the same, buying rubbish, playing rubbish. But reading the article I’m optimistic that he wants to change it up, so the rubbish we’re watching will be not longer. He knows we’re about to change ownership to one which should give him cash and control to buy who he REALLY wants, not has to seen as wanting, the likes of Saha and Jacobsen are case in point.
Is that indecisive??
At the end of the day though, it is one thing talking about what you want to do, but acctually doing it, is another thing. And for me, I’ve seen enough over the last 61/2 years from Moyes, that I don’t think anything will change.
By the way, we are about to change ownership?
Listening to a BBC podcast, he (Keith HArris) has said that a number of people are interested and interested in Everton even without a new stadium. It is a strong bargaining position for a buy to negotiate a better price if we don’t have a stadium. Simply because other ’more attractive’ purchases (teams) do.
Only Everton could possibly believe that a "carry on regardless" attitude is the way forward.
We need a root and branch clearout at Goodison ? otherwise, we can forget aspirations of winning trophies or competing in the CL. BK will stay around until he has supervised our move to Kirkby.
If our results continue like they are until the new year, what can the club do to alter them? Expect major sales of major players come the New Year. That is what Moyes means by re-building the team. Exactly who would invest serious money into EFC and maintain the status-quo?
I?m sorry but none of it adds up, just like Fortress funding, Kings Dock etc etc.

FFS Thomas, the man has had 6½ years to build the squad, shouldn?t he have got it right by now? You're just another example of the easy to please brigrade. A few words spoken by Moyes, and you go from a disgruntled fan, who thinks he has taken us as far as he can, to a believer again.
How does it go on little Britain? "No but, yeah but, no but..."
