Its a Miracle

The away team dugout at Emirates stadium is an unlikely setting for an event of biblical proportions yet it was in that very place where David of Glasgow recieved enlightenment. Alleluja!

"Hear yea, hear yea," he cried to those who bothered to listen, ?Our problem lies in a midst fieldith that hath too many undersized friggin weaklings?. Amen and Alleluja!

Tony of the Marsh and Dick of Oz had long proclaimed that very problem yet for our candour we suffered at the fingers of Moyesiah disciples on the keyboards of ignorance. Alleluja!

Whatever the Moyesiah does with his new-found insight had better be quick. After next weekend, with one third of the season gone, we could be in a relegation battle.

Is it hypocritical to wonder if he really is the Moyesiah or could he be an overpaid chancer.

Don?t lose the faith, Dick! Haven?t you heard that St David is about to re-build the team around Captain Marvel who, like himself, has got a new four-year contract. I don?t think you should keep mentioning the money, either. It had nothing to do with his decision to sign ? that was all down to Sir Bobby Robson who gave him his Damascus experience.

Why are you Aussies such bloody cynics?

The sword of Damocles is indeed hanging over the Moyesiah. Trouble is, it seems to be held up by a length of anchor rope instead of gossamer. I fear it will be a long time before it is cut and by then the damage will have been done.

If we can’t afford to let Davey go, how about a straight swop with Juande Ramos?

Our midfield is good. The trouble is that they never get to kick the ball because the defence hoof it over their heads.

The only weakness in the defence is the fact that they can?t pass or now it appears defend.

Yakubu is not good at winning the ball in the air and, even if he was, there would be nobody to head it to. I am sick of hearing that we play to our strengths because we don?t. When we pass it we look quite good. (I have a good memory!)

Dick, Did you study Maths in the Land of Oz? By my reckoning, at the end of this weekend, we have not even reached 25% of the seasons’ matches! I agree that if we don’t improve in the next few games then we will certainly be involved in a struggle to avoid relegation. But hey this is Everton your talking about the team we’ll love and support forever regardless of any situation we find ourselves in.
