Rooney's 100th Goal

Comments (19)

I just read that fat boy Sshrek is chasing his 100th goal while visiting. With his birthday just around the corner and it being at Goodison Park, I am fearing the worst... again.

I say 'again' because I had the same feeling when Gerrard came over in search of his own 100th goal!

As a win seams out of sight for this one, Everton and fellow Evertonians, whatever it takes, please FFS do NOT let this twat put one past us!

No doubt that he will be kissing the badge if he scores. Once A Blue Always A Blue!

Here we go with the Rooney rants!! We complain that Moyes doesn't learn from his mistakes but what about us?! Every year Rooney makes his appearance at Goodison, we boo and shout abuse at him and he gets fired up and either scores or celebrates madly if they win. How about either clapping him a bit or even better just ignore him altogether? It would throw him right off his game I guarantee it!

I think we might nick this one 1-0; here's what Alex Ferguson said when Duncan got the winner in 2005, "Everton fought and hunted down every ball," he continued. "They had that big crowd behind them" ? how about doing the same this Saturday?! Though by the looks of things were struggling to sell this game out?!

I for one would be happy to see him score his 100th goal on Saturday...... providing it is a consolation in a crushing defeat.

Not that playing with ten men behind the ball and hoping for a nil-nil has any chance of achieving that............

Maybe that extra pressure to get his 100th goal at his old home will work in our favour. He will get frustrated, lash out and get sent off. Maybe we would have a chance of 0-0 against a ten man, Man Utd??

Bit unlady-like this!!

Colleen was asked to pose naked for "Playboy" magazine provided she shaved her fat twat.... hence Rooney’s new look!!! [Joke doing the rounds!!]

Scott... I don’t think, realistically, we can even beat 10 men of Man U’s.. don’t forget they will probably have the ref in their pocket!! We’ve seen it before - SAF arguing with 2nd Official for extra stoppage time if they are drawing or losing, their players in the ref’s face if a decision goes against them.. they get away with it like the other 3 in the big four.

Personally think that the only way to beat them is to adopt the "Dogs of War " attitude... hustle them off the ball, don’t give them time to settle.,.. they hate that!!

Patty, I think you're right about adopting the dogs of war attitude. If Castillo is fit he should definatly sit in front of the back four. I was impressed with his tackling and work rate and don?t really understand why he was dropped so quickly?

Howard
Neville
Jags
Yobo
Lescott
Arteta
Fallaini
Castillo
Pienaar
Saha
Vaughan.

I hate to leave the Yak out but I think he needs a kick up the arse and Vaughan will put it about more.

Scott, I agree with most of your team but Baines has to play against Ronaldo, he had him in his pocket last time, and if Lescott can get torn apart by that Standard Liege right midfielder, then just think what ronaldo would do to him! And the yak has to start really! He's a poacher and if we give him the service he needs he?ll score! Vaughan should definitely come on for him though.

Haha!! Yeah Ray what a great idea! Let's disgrace the name of Everton FC for the sake of Wayne Rooney. I'd say totally ignore Rooney ? I guarantee that would upset him more than hurling abuse at him, all that does is fire him up! But then we?d have to be intelligent to do that kind of thing so best we just stick to hurling abuse!! Great stuff!

Scott Jenner - Why would you want to leave out our most natural goalscorer? Feed the Yak and he will score; simple equation!

Why would you want Agent Neveille in the first 11? He loves Manu, he bleeds them. He shouldn?t play against them IMO.

I can?t watch this match this weekend, Rooney will wind me up too much.

We are going to get dicked on Saturday by a far superior team. One that has its house in order and has been running their show in the proper manner for years. Like him or not Fergie is a winner and his team are in his mould. I?ve no doubt the lad will score on Saturday and rub our noses in it, wouldn't you, given the stick he takes?

I would love us to pull off a win, by playing them at their own game and attacking from the off, but that aint going to happen is it?!

We have a lot to learn as a club and could do worse than following Utd?s example. We are light years away at the moment.

If he does then congratulate him rather than Booo. We get more money on the transfer deal and it would drive him and his agent mad if we never gave him stick. Giving him stick will only backfire as the lad is at the top of his game and the losers would be us if we abuse him. We done it many years ago when Ian Wright scored against us?? COYB

Gordon Strachan described Utd as the best club-side in the World (or was it Europe?). Either way I think its pretty much a ?given? that we?ll lose to them.

They?re way better than us so dont bother coming on here after the game complaining ? anything better than a loss (so thats a draw or a win to you) will be a success.

Oh and fair play to Rooney by the way, the kids class and some of us are just bitter that he doesnt play for us anymore - kissing the badge & all that is merely a bi product of the abuse he gets from Evertonians.

Once a blue always a blue - yeah right, money talks way louder than sentiment!

Agree with the dogs of war shout but we dont have the players. We are crying out for a player who will go out against a top 4 side (or any side at the minute) and not give a fck about who they are, someone who is goin to throw a strong challenge in and put themselves about, get in the ?superstars? faces and unsettle them. United are no soft touches when it comes to a battle but one thing?s for sure its not their idea of a game plan to go out and get involved in one.

The last player who fitted this description was Duncan Ferguson and how i wish a fit Big Dunc was available for us on saturday. Although he played in a few poor Everton teams at least we knew we had a chance against your Man Utd?s when Big Dunc was playing. Moyes needs to try an find a player similar to this and I think the closest thing we have to this will be serving his last game of a suspension on Saturday so personally I'd play people who are hungry to prove themselves in these types of games:- Vaughan, Anichebe, Rodwell. It might not be wise to start all three but i?d start with two (Rodwell an Anichebe) introducing Vaughan later on. I know they might not be seen as our better players yet but what you will get from them is a guarantee they will run their balls off, give 100% an show a desire to actually get involved in the game, something our so called better players hav?nt done this season.

My 11 to start

Howard
Baines
Lescott
Jagielka
Hibbert
Pienaar
Rodwell
Arteta
Fellaini
Anichebe
Saha

I?d leave out Yakubu to give him the kick up the arse he needs to get his season going and also I think Saha will have a greater desire to give 100% at the minute.

Never gonna happen though Lewis, Moyes will play the same old 451 he always does, starting with the (lazy) Yak running around like a headless chicken again.

Fellaini will get overun in midfield and Arteta will be shit.

My prediction, we’ll lose 3 or 4-1

Yak only ends up running about like a headless chicken because the service up to him is piss poor. It has pretty much been the same with all the other striker’s we’ve had under Moyes. They come to us with some pedigree and end up chasing impossible high balls and over hit hospital passes.

Wayne left us some time ago now and I wonder what sort of reception he will get this weekend. I feel the Wayne Rooney sale has helped Everton over time but don't get me wrong, I was gutted when he left; however, think of our situation financially now, then think what it would be like having given Wayne that record deal to keep him at the club, we had struggled that season finishing 17th (lowest ever points tally) and the team was struggling because it didn't exist outside Everton every week it was the Wayne Rooney show in the press.

How would Everton have gone on from that season? I dont think we would have done as well the following seasons.

I just think giving him more grief will only spur him on and he will love getting that 100th goal at goodison.

Which we all hope he doesn't.
