Not Moyes's Type of Player

Comments (13)

For me, the most notable press release of this season were the comments from JP Kissock upon leaving Everton — "I wasn't Moyes's type of player, he doesn't have many flamboyant players in his side".

This for me sums it all up. Having just read Tony Marsh's latest post, I can't say I agree with it all, I think DM did a great job when he first came, but I do believe that there is a time to change journeymen for flair players, players who can change a game — Everton have Arteta but stick him on the wing, Pienaar — likewise on the wing and Neville in the middle.

Christ, what is wrong with a little bit of flair..?

Sour grapes methinks, he would be better off geting his head down at his new club and developing his game,

I wish him and his flair every success at hamilton academical

A Moyes player?

A utility player?

Never mind JP, another 5years and we might buy you back, we’ve certainly let quite a few talented youngsters slip out the door.

The lad was shite end of that is why he got pissed off and I will bet he will drift into even further away from the big time.
We may have lost a few young guns in the past but we have brought far more through the ranks too and that deserves some credit as there are not many clubs out there who give kids a chance.
As for Moyes type players though Ciaran hit the nail on the head, its time for him to get some balls and start having a go at teams instead of being so negative and cautious, he did respond like this two years ago after the Spurs home game abuse, so maybe we may see a response.

JP was another Ossie in the making with a bit less talent so god help him with all the Ossie bashers if he had stayed.

He is obviously disappointed at not getting a game for his boyhood club but as Chris Taggart said if he was as talented as he felt he was why end up at Hamilton while big clubs are paying 5 million fees for young talent.

Unfortunately despite the efforts of the club to "bulk" him up he was far too lightweight for the Prem.

Similar criticism of Moyes came when Mark Hughes was sold to Northampton. At the time he was the reserves capatain and many observers felt he had the makings of a future first team captain. Two years on he’s still doing ok at Northampton. Nothing more to report.

Such a pity to lose obviously such a flamboyant player.

Mind you, he will be in the squad to face Falkirk this weekend in the SPL. Where he belongs.

I always like to see local lads make it, but maybe JP’s heart is ruling his head here. Not exactly a queue of clubs beating a path to the lad’s door by the look of things. Hamilton Accies may well be his route back to the PL, who knows we could be kicking ourselves in a few years but I doubt it.

Mark hughes is walsall captain.
JP is 3ft and made ossie look as tall as fellaini.
Fox at celtic would come in handy, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Saw JPK a few times and was never overly impressed. Just because you have a distinctive hairstyle, doesn’t mean you exhibit flair. Lightweight and inefffective, he flattered to deceive. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Jay Harris, so JPK was another Ossie in the making? Phew! Now that was a close call.

I’m from Accrington and JPK was on loan at Stanley last season for a month and couldn’t even get a game for their first team and my Gran could get a run out for them at the moment!
