Kenyon Anyone?

Comments (12)

I read today that Peter Kenyon is leaving his post at Chelsea.

Now I know that he is not without controversy but he does have a proven record (as did Trevor Birch) where business acumen is concerned.

While he is still wanting to represent Chelsea on a few Uefa committees etc, is it worth Everton having a punt at him and using him, even part time, to help the structure of the club?

Perhaps the board could even use him to help broker a deal with a decent investor...?

Four problems here.

1. We could never afford him
2. He wouldn’t want to come anyway
3. He’s an odious little twat i’m not sure i’d want involved in my club
4. His aggressive arrogant attitude has helped land Chelsea with their current transfer ban.

I know he has a proven track record, but that rack record involves the Manks and Chelski, both who seem to have endless pots of gold with which to buy players and do big things. Id try to find someone who is proven to do good things with no money!!!

The only positive I could thin of is that he obv has a big name in the Premier league and that may help us secure an investor who would think that their investment was in good hands.

Whats the point? Kenwright does his own thing regardless. The last guy who wanted to do things differently was Trevor Birch so Kenwright gave him a golden handshake.

I think you place too much faith in what football club CEO’s do, they dont get on those committees because they are good, its because of the club they work for (money in other words). The only thing Kenyon will bring is an inflated wage bill.

I’d rather clean out Rooney’s bog than have this professional groupie on board.

The sight of him getting a medal still makes me puke,

I agree with points 3) and 4) of what James Thomas said, though he was being a bit kind

I have heard that he is going to replace Rick Parry at Liverpool in the new year, so the questions mute really

Didn’t Peter Kenyon promise to make Chelsea the biggest club in the world within 5 years? They’re not even the biggest in the UK.

Well spotted Peter. That crown obviously goes to the mighty toffees :-)
