Etuhu

Comments (10)

Just wanted to raise something that has been bothering me. What are the FA going to do about Etuhu?

After what Adebayor did on Saturday, why has nothing been done about Etuhu. Every time I see the challenge it gets worse; he should be charged because unlike Van Persie, Neville will be out till Christmas.

I can understand your reasoning, especially when you take into account the number of cards that Fellaini was given last season. I can’t recall any player being injured and missing matches as a result of one of his challenges.

It was a 50-50 ball and it was just unlucky. Etuhu slid forward and Nevile came in from the side and at first it just looked like a tangle of legs. Both players had their eye on the ball, and Etuhu won it. The injury was just an accident in my opinion.

It was a 50-50 challenge...both players were showing their soles..

Comparing that with what Adebayor did - is beyond ridiculous.

Cant agree with that, if you look at the tackle Phil actually catches him on his leg as well! it was a 50-50 but unfortunatley Phil came off the worse. it happens!

When our own manager says that Etuhu isn’t that sort of player and nearly every commentator on the game calling it a 50-50, no action will be taken against Etuhu.

Personally, I think the ref should be dropped or warned. On Sunday at the match I actually lost my voice briefly, so loud and furious were my shouts at the referee for not stopping the game and waving play on despite John Paintsil shouting at him to stop the game to help Phil.

Peter Walton’s conduct was reprehensible to say the least.

I see the tree hugging fannies are moaning again...

For me, it was great to see two fellas going in hard to win the ball...
Phill got hurt... shit happens...

It’ll probably work out to be a blessing in disguise that this clueless oaf is sidelined, so we can replace him with a footballer....

Harsh but probably true.

Tony G, spot on mate. It was a good old 50-50. Doug, take the blue tinted specs off mate.

I can understand your frustration Doug, but to me Etuhu got the ball but he did go in with his studs showing to get the ball and this usually warrants a yellow card and certainly atleast a freekick which was not given! However, it would be taking things out of proportion if he were to be charged by the FA for this offence.

The FA should be focused on punishing the more severe challenges that cause injury to opponents such as Kevin Nolan’s two footed lunge on Victor Anichebe’s leg which has put Anichebe out for 7 months so far. I find it hard to take that this horrendous challenge warranted no charge by the FA yet more minor and petty offences such as the Adebayor and Eduardo incidents have resulted in charges being brought forward by the FA.

Doug, you’re talking horse shit. Nothing like Adebayor, he fully intended to get the ball, which he did and he couldn’t avoid Neville in follow through. Etuhu did not stamp on Nevill’s head.
