Dear Santa

Comments (22)

Ok, ok, so 41-year-olds should not believe in Santa! But, if not Santa, who the hell else is going to save Everton Football Club?

Let's face it, Eberneezer Kenwright isn't!

It's kinda strange... Everton has every xmasy in it, but I dont for one minute believe we intend to. Eberneezer Kenwright, tiny Davey, the ghost of Xmas past, present and future!! Xmas Panto, only its, "he's past you" to Fellaini, Hibbert, Osman, Neville, Gosling, Cahill et al.

So, Dear Santa.

Please can we have a new young, attack-minded rightback.

A attack-minded right midfielder, with pace.

A creative central midfielder, wih pace.

A striker... with Pace!!!

Yes it's obvious isn't it? We have heard it all before!

The difference being under Moyes we are going backwards! His tactics seem to revolve around the 7-year cycle farmers use: different each year... then back to the same shite as Year 1.

Must admit I didn’t watch the game today, I had a ticket or even went to the nearest pub but instead I spent my time trying to get Iraqui Goals to work, but there is an inevitablity about it that I don’t want to watch anymore. How many more bad 1st halfs have we got to endure, how many more times will we go against the sky 4 just to nick a point? it just ain’t working, As someone posted this is a good Man U side, but not one of the great ones we’ve seen over the years, and yet we appear to be beaten before we kick off

Predictable, miserable bullshit.

Is it too much to hope that, just once, we can go for it against one of the Big Three? United are a shadow of what they used to be, yet Moyes sticks to his usual 11 behond the ball bullshit, giving them a level of respect they really have done nothing to deserve this season. I ask you, Darren Fletcher, Michael Owen and Antonio fucking Valencia- these pricks are too good for us??? If we’d lost 3-0 with Tevez, Ronaldo and Berbatov against us I’d understand. But it’s depressingly predictable, and injuries provide little excuse as far as I’m concerned. If we’d had our first choice 11 out tonight it’d have still been the same cautious crap.

What’s more, the ’hard to beat’ reputation we’ve had under Moyes was laughably absent tonight. How many times did we leave Rooney unmarked, alone on the edge of our box??? This is basic shit- you DO NOT leave the best player in the world alone on the edge of your box!

Only when Yakubu came on- for the hopelessly out of his depth Dan Gosling- did we look even half-like scoring.

Rubbish, absolute rubbish.

The only surprise was an actual half-time substitution!!

My teeth have actually met each other, having bitten through my tongue & ’yes!’ Screech is a shocker! I had thought he’d turn it around in his performance but it just seems more of an issue with attitude / work rate? Unless he’s another ’walking wounded’? Anyway we may aswell get used to the ’kinky afro’ as he’ll be at the club for a long while yet... would you buy him?

Timmy I love him but he’s not long for ’Dunc’ status as he’s here purely on past merits & spirit... spirit which even the man himself has had a lack of in recent times. Pienaar & Jags are the boys we should be holding our breath for & I really think Bily will be a major influence!
Mikeys recent form (lack of), fitness & interview lead me to believe he’s got an injury issue that is unresolvable long term? I do not personally see him as an answer to our problems.

Its all back down to Kirkby, Kenwright & Money... Heard it all before.. No Kirkby, No return for BK, No sale, No money.......

Everyone goes on about the injuries. But Moyes has not won at any of the big four grounds in 31 attempts and it is 7 years since we won a game after trailing at half time. It doesn't matter against the big boys whether we have injuries or not. And the players you want Chris he will never buy. Instead he spent all our hard earned cash on Fellaini. Today we went to defend and gave one of the most spineless boring displays I have ever seen from any Everton side. Surely there can't be any Moyes supporters left after that dross.

I thought Fellaini did ok, linked up play well at times, didnt hide, always tried to keep the ball on the deck.

Rodwell on the other hand is fast becoming my new Osman. With each game I find myself getting more and more frustrated, especially considering the lad's growing reputation. If Chelsea really offered £14m I would bite their hands off. No wonder Liverpool turned him down.

I'm trying to be patient as he is a young lad trying to get used to the holding midfield role and he was up against a good side today, but it doesn’t seem to matter who he is up against, it's the same poor performances week-in, week-out. He went missing for much of the game as he usually does. The team can not afford to carry players unless they are a player who can turn a game with 1 moment of brilliance, which he does not.

We can only play 1 holding midfielder at a time its got to be either Rodwell or Heitinga, not both. Moyes tried this a couple of seasons ago with Rodwell and Jags playing in the holding role and it didn't work then. He should no be accommodating players at the expense of the team.

If Moyes has so little confidence in Rodwell in the holding role that he needs to play Heitinga to protect him, then he needs to be dropped. All they are doing is getting in each others way and doing a job that one can do, it's like playing with 10 men.

Fellaini was still are best midfielder by a mile and how he puts up with this shite is beyond me, GET OFF HIS BACK! Start pointing the finger at Cahill, Gosling (not his fault) and Moyes and Talkshite.

This is Moyes's team; out of all the injuries, who was really missing? Bily, Arteta, Pienaar and Jagielka. So, out of a squad of how many, we had four out as far as I'm concerned, the rest are Moyes's buys. No pace, no pace, no pace, no pace, no fuckin pace (How many years?) no fuckin PACE. Get shut!

So-called lesser managers and teams have achieved more with less finances and less time than moyes and that liar so let's get shut of them.

Wouldn't mind so much if we had a go now and then but we don't, and if we just played someone off the park just once, we could live in hope... but we're not capable of playing any team off any park; this is dire. We're not enjoying it any more are we?

School of Science, the Holy Trinity would be pulling their hair out. Next time that gobshite Blue Bill is on the telly, dreaming about the Golden Vision and Hickson, Dean, the great Alan Ball etc, someone wants to say "Why don't you play like that? Why don't you play the Everton way anymore? Aren't you in the entertainment business? Why are you watching shite, Bill? Why???"

Answer: "Because the manager's not up to the job but he's in my pocket and I don't give a fuck cause I'm Blue Bill and in control."

Rodwell played as though he was on show for the big boys... Is he really as good as everyone says?

Every time he fucks up, people say he is young and will learn. At the moment, I don't see anything mind blowing about him. It's my opinion though.

Ian, trying to make Jack Rodwell look bad is stupid. He is playing in a team that plays badly. To say anything about Liverpool has done with him is utter shit. He is as promising player as Rooney was at this age. If you don't see this you see nothing. Cut the crap, please.

What brought about last night's defeat was a tendency for our entire team at the slightest sign of danger to concentrate in and around the 6 yard box. Knowing that we do not have anyone who can break with pace from such ultra defensive positions the opposing midfield and backline can surge forward at will.

When you look at our signings and those coming through the ranks it seems that pace is not a given enough priority.

To compare Rooney and Rodwell or to mention Rodwell in the same breath as Rooney is utter crap. Rooney was a world beater at Rodwell’s age. At 16 he was running past Man Utd defenders for fun.

If you're going to have ago at me for ’’trying to make Jack Rodwell look bad’’ fair enough but I don't see you having ago at anyone else who has had a go at Fellaini who played much better than Rodwell today.

My sentiments entirely Ian Tunstead, I think everyone has a go a Fellaini, but if he was in a good midfield he’d not exactly shine but be effective. His game is breaking up the play and giving 10-12 yrd balls to other mids, just like he did at Leige. The problem is that none of our midfield run off the ball so screech’s play goes nowhere

I don't know why no-one has pointed this out, but the only reason Rodwell is being ’bigged up’ is by us, all the talk of the big clubs being after him is entirely encouraged by us. He is next summer's transfer budget, plain and simple. If he doesn't get sold, we don't have a pot.

Lescott was this year's, Johnson and McFadden were the previous years. Sorry but lets be realists...

The sad act is; I expected it. No not the result; fuck; 3, 4 or 5 to Manure, to maybe 1 but probably nil for EFC was always going to be the score.

What I expected and got with a double dose was the totally pathetic attempt at holding the ball, total in-a-fucking-bility at passing to a blue shirt; and the lack-lustre attempts at winning the ball back.

Pace, there is absolutely none. I believe I am faster. Is it a requirement to run the 100 metres in about 4 fucking hours that gets you into the EFC team?

Moral and confidence have FUCKING gone, IMO give it a few more games and Heitinga and Neill will be playing at the EFC level of shite.

It beggars belief that some people defend EFC and Moyes after each match. Do they watch the games? Go to GP and soak up the atmosphere... NOT. Feel the players transmit their persona to the fans as they enter the field... NOT. We are EFC; we supposedly had one of the most hostile arenas in the UK. NOT anymore.

On the whole we have been viewing shite defensive footy for what seems like ever. Change, well we know it always comes in the end. Either the defensive hoof ball goes or the manager fucks off.

At this moment in time, I’m not sure who can get this club back where it belongs. But maybe Rodwell can help.

At present, Rodwell is no better or worse than loads of players in the Premier League. He MAY become a great but then again he may not.

If Chelsea came along and offered silly money for him I’d take it and use it to redevelop one of the stands at Goodison. Problem solved with the naming reights. We just call the new Gladwys Street the Jack Rodwell Stand.

Pity we couldn’t have used the Lescott cash similarly as the players we spent the money on look pretty average to me. So a revamped Bullens Road would be the Lescott Stand. Only two more to sell and stadium problem sorted.

John, it’s never going to happen, look at the modus operandi of Billy Bullshitter and the PE teacher.

Billy Bullshitter will piss any money away on desperation Kirkby and if DM gets any money it will be pissed away on ANOTHER fucking "defensive __________" fill in the gaps with anything from straight out defender to midfielder.

How the fuck you win games with a good defence is beyond me, even my four year old could tell you; score more than the other side does and you win games. You won’t win a game if you can’t pass to your own fucking team mates and worse still are camped in your own fucking half for 90 minutes.

"He is as promising player as Rooney was at this age".

I have read some laughable comments on this website, but this one is the best ever.

I believe Jack Rodwell will develop into a very good Premier League player but please do not compare him to a player like Rooney. When Rooney was the same age as Jack is now, he was the first name on the England team sheet, was the man of the tournament at Euro 2004 and was regarded as one of the best young talents in world football.

It was just woeful but predictably woeful. I work in Salford and had predicted that performance from Everton to all the Man U fans around me. Fucking gutless. Has our manager signed some kind of pact with Taggart that we just roll over against Man U? Why don’t we treat it like a derby game? I accept our players are nowhere near theirs in terms of quality but I find the lack of effort inexcusable. We should at least be looking to get stuck in to disrupt their game but we let them walk all over us.

Maybe some are willing to excuse the defeat against Man U but we go about our games with Stoke, Wolves and Bolton in exactly the same way. Surely the tide is turning against Moyes now? We’ve a £15mil player who can’t tackle or pass and our highest paid player is non-existent.

There are a lot of good comments here that many of us wholeheartedly agree with. The bottom line is that the squad is not good enough or DM. Sure he is not a miracle worker but some of his decisions are plain ridiculous.

The team has little ball control, passing ability nor pace to be a threat and so the disappointing results go on. We could argue that when the injured players return and Bily, that things will improve but I don’t think they will by much simply because of the DM system. This is the worst season so far in the DM reign and it may get a lot worse before it get’s better sadly to say.

Okay we weren’t expected to neat Manure but it’s like the players accepted that before they started and just went through the motions. We are 4 points from the relegation zone and a victory at Hull is now crucial to get the spirits back up for the game on Sunday.

Even if Moyes had every one available, he will still play his boring, negative, cowardly bullshit tactics. Get shut, he's fucking useless, but the sad thing is he is under no pressure from his employers to achieve.

Sit back and accept your £70k a week Moyes, after all Billy Bullshit bought your silence and acceptance with it. Fucking drone.
