Favourite Everton souvenir

I was just surfing the net to find out what happened to those seemingly daft paper-thin football scarves made out of something that resembles silk... I have one somewhere but no idea where!
I came across this: http://www.sportantiques.co.uk/items/21085_Football_Scarf_Everton_Football_ClubA_si
I don't have £165 spare at the moment but if anyone here does I think it's a pretty cool piece of memorabilia especially considering it features W R Dean.
What (if you have any) is your favourite piece of EFC related memorabilia?
Mine is an autograph from Howard Kendall, spotted getting out his car on the way to Brighton v Blackburn some years ago, It was the derby the next day and he was just off to see some mates from his time at Blackburn. My friend always reminds me that he nearly went through the windscreen when I spotted him, anyway it was a pub half-way between Crawley and Brighton that he was heading for so we joined him for a pint and an autograph. Yes, Mr Kendall did have just one pint!

Signed photo of Big Dunc stood over Hypia, fists clenched, held back by Cahill.
Mike Walker autograph, from when I spotted him having breakfast across from me in the Moat House.
As an innocent 14 year old, I offered him some words of encouragement after we had been beaten away to Palace (I think) the previous day and had not won in something like ten games since the start of the season. Two weeks later he was out of a job.
I have my song sheet and ticket stub from the 1966 Cup Final. It has all the players autographs as well as some of the 1933 team, Dixie Dean, Jimmy Dunn etc. who were guests of Everton. I was lucky enough to travel back to Liverpool on the team train and Brian Harris took us into the teams coach and introduced us to all the players and also Catterick, Moores and Gordon West who were in a separate compartment. Catterick allowed us to hold the Cup for a few seconds each. Those days you only held the Cup if you won it! None of this having your photo taken with it for a tenner.! Best weekend of my life.
Super Kevin Campbell's autograph on the back of my saveaway the week after he scored the winner against the shite at Anfield. God bless you Super!
Two programs from 1966 Cup Final, one bought in Liverpool and one I got at Wembly, but different photo's in each one, also an LP titled Mersey Boot with the 66 final on one side and the lesser team? from Liverpool(league)65 on the other .Plus Charity Shield program when League,FA,and World Cup were paraded round the pitch before the game.
A mint first edition of the official Everton FC magazine! Matt Jackson on the cover. Bought in South Devon, I never saw another issue.
An autograph book from the late sixties. I got most of the players names on a balmy summer night at Bootle cricket ground. Everton played Bootle, (I believe it was an annual event) and my cousin, who played for Bootle, went into the dressing room after the game and came out with all the autographs.
A 1987 long-sleeved away shirt (number 16) signed by the entire squad and the manager.
My dad won it in a raffle and then about 5 or 6 years ago he put it in a big pile of clothes that he was going to send to the charity shop. My brother snaffled it for himself the little bastard.
Everton football, signed by the whole 2003 squad, including 1 Mr W Rooney. He also signed 6 Everton shirts which I took back to Australia and gave to my family members, who strangely still have them, though my son gave his to a Manure fan last year as he was disgusted with the way the whole Rooney leaving thing was handled.
Best part of this story is that the knobhead Manure fan had the shirt framed and it now hangs on the wall of his lounge room. LMFAO
I have heaps of all kinds of memorablia among which is a 4x2 Everton mat. hung on the wall like a tapestry.
It used to be on the floor where all mats should be but RS mates (Mea Culpa) wiped their feet on it.
I have some tattered remnants of souvenirs from our time in the old second division including a home made rattle in the club colours.
The whole lot are worth zilch on the open market but to me, priceless.
We've got some of the Park End at me arl fella's.....
I've also got a book signed by the Rat.
I think there are pictures with me holding the Cup Winners Cup somewhere too....
Have a picture I took of my younger brother getting Fred Pickerings autograph outside the Park End before a game in 1965.
Our first win of season I think in 94 , west ham , walker was bout to be sacked. I went up to Peter Johnson and he signed my programme .
I had the programme folded and on the top half it said you owe me £1 million pounds . Daft cunt
Match worn Tim Cahill shirt ( not signed though). rememberence day poppy embroidered on it.. framed and pride of place in my living room next to signed Andy Gray scoring against Bayern..
I was a mascot in 1984.. so some good photos and memories knocking around in my dads 'vault' of Everton and 1966 World Cup collection !!
Ray Roche #208..
Fantastic... absolutely priceless.
I've got one of those cheesy silk scarves but this one has the pictures of the entire squad about 1975-76. Never seen another one like it. Got 66, 68, 84 final programmes, semi from 71and most ot the early Evertonian's when it was in newspaper format, but my most treasured possession is a reserve match sheet signed by all the team members who opened a shop in St Johns market, the likes of Connolly, Latchford, Smallman etc. Happy days
A packet of Everton Mints, Leeds game circa 1969 from the Toffee Lady, unopened and in mint condition... although not sure about the toffees.
A piece of turf from the Gwladys Street end apparently still growing in my mum's garden from a 1978 pitch invasion when Andy King scored a screamer. I picked up a sod and took it home.
1984 Watford Cup Final prog signed by Sir Elton John.
One of Alan Ball's white boots (worn out), signed by Alan in 1972 although he was an Arsenal player then.
Programs from 1963 to 1980... and a clacker.
There's a patch of grass in my parent's garden still going strong (in the middle of a flower bed!)... taken home from the Coventry game when we stayed up. I didn't manage to get it signed though.
I have a postcard celebrating ?? Everton's relegation in 1931 in the style of a funeral notice in an art-deco font.
Everton departed this life from the 1st Division on this day ( (dd/mm/yy) R.I.P. ( rise if possible ) Sir Dr David doesn't have one of these.
It was passed on to me by the father-in-law ( 1908-2007 ) who saw Dixies 60th goal.
Also have a 1962-63 Championship glossy brochure produced for the start of the next season. In it are pictures of everybody from Sir John Moores down, with printed signatures... All mine are over signed in ink by the actuals.
In the centre spread All the team signed again.
This all came about coz some of the Scottish players, Collins, Parker, Brown used to frequent our shop ( Thomas's Pork Butchers 108 County Rd. 8 or 10 yrs gone now. Last time I looked it was a sandwich type shop.. Big sellers where pork pies 3d & 4d for large and sausages, proper diet for athletes.
Alex Parker took it in for me originally, then Sandy would take it in every now and then to get it topped up.
A one penny "Official programme" of Liverpool FC hosting the Liverpool County Seniot cup final between us and Tranmere from 1958 . Its just a team sheet but it has all the players aitograpghs from both sides
God knows who won !
My 1966 Cup Final programme. Priceless!
My uncle managed to get hold of the programme from the Rapid Vienna CWC game in Rotterdam, most of the programme is written In Dutch and German. Apparently the programme was pretty rare, and h managed to get it signed by the whole team and Howard Kendall at a civic event a couple of days after our triumphant victory.
I've got a pretty rare piece or so I believe.
During an attic clearout we came across a little booklet, which was the school editorial from the now defunct St Sylvester?s school. I think it?s the 1933 edition and through boredom I had a read and spotted in the editors notes, 'A special thank you to Mr W R Dean of Everton FC and England for taking the time to write an article for us.?
Sure enough inside is a two page column from Dixie entitled 'Tips to boys on Football.' Total gentleman in his article and it?s up there in my favourite possessions, and was an unbelievable find.
A 97-98 PE season book with the inside seat details signed by D Ferguson. It was the night Madar missed that sitter and it was 1-1 at Anfield. Ferguson equalised I think.
Went into town to watch the game and ended up the Buro, Bold Street, where several players from both sides were bevying. Remember having a piss in-between Ferguson and Watson which was a bit weird and asking Ferguson to sign my book in the bogs (also weird). He then signed the slip for the next game so I had to ask him to re-do it on the seat detail bit! Madar was dressed like the Milk Tray man looking moody and smoking constantly, as was David James. Most of the players were drinking together.
My arl fellas got two tickets (I think unused) to the Portugal-Brazil game at Goodison in 1966 World Cup, which must be pretty rare.
I have still got my ticket for the players' banquet after beating Watford in the FA Cup. The function was held at the Royal Lancaster hotel in London.
What a brilliant night it was, Andy Gray singing and dancing on the table. I was lucky to be on Peter Reid's table with his Dad and Brother. Reidy insisted I had a hold of his cup winning medal.
A shirt signed by the team 2007-08 given to me by my brother who sadly died in a car accident 8 months later. My most treasured possession.
I have a card from Howard Kendall's wedding service when he was a player which is also signed by a few of the players (not all of which are very legible!).
Somehow my teacher came by it soon after the wedding and said she would give to the best person in the class.... boy was I good that year! :-) That was season 1969-70 I think, if my memory serves correctly (which is not guaranteed!)
I have a photo of Wayne Rooney leaving my Grandma's house. Any bidders?
My favorite souvenir is the blue and white scarf I wore to the 1966 cup final. My Mum ? may she rest in peace ? hand embroidered every one of the players' names on it, except Trebilcock wouldn't fit!
And I also have a ball with all of the 1995 FA Cup winners' autographs. A kopite won it in a raffle and was so upset he gave it to me for nothing!
Match programme the from Bayern game, signed by Howie, with my ticket stub attached. Ah, happy days!
A vinyl LP with the cover signed by Peter Reid, Derek Mountfield and Kevin Ratcliffe celebrating the 1985 season. "Here We go, here We go...." with commentary of the goals scored that year interspersed. 5-0 v Utd, 3-1 v Leicester along with a ton of others and then the two finals with the best commentary the semi-final v Bayern. Loved my mum even more after she picked it up at a record signing in a store in Liverpool city centre.
A piece of Everton carpet and 2 umbro triangle corner flags. Also managed to get a picture with Big Dunc straight after training on thr pitch at bellfield.
For many years I kept my first ever season ticket - which was a present for my 9th birthday. It was for the old main Stand and I think it cost 8 pounds and 8 shillings which would be now be written as £8.40. Sady it was lost/thrown out along with a wonderful souvenir of the 1965-66 season from the Liverpool Echo " Clickety Click '66" it was a joint Everton - Liverpool souvenir. I think they won something that season !!!
I have kept my Dad's last season ticket - Upper Tier Bullens Road H142 - from the 2001-02 season. Sadly he passed away on 23rd Feb 2002 - the day of the Anfield derby. He had that particular seat in the Bullen Road Upper Tier since 1975-76. It was a cracking " spec" exactly on the half way line.
I have a picture of the 1956-57 team - it's actually the 11 players that won 5-2 at Old Trafford that season - at least I am pretty sure that it is. I bought it at Lincoln Christmas Market - about 10 years ago - I really wanted a 1957-58 picture as I was born in August 1957. But it was the nearest I could get !! It is on my desk at work.
As an exiled Evertonian some of my favourite souvenirs are any pictures of Goodison. I will readily admit to using Google Maps and putting inthe LN$ 4EL post code and tracing the route to and from Goodison from where we used to park near Queens Drive!!
That should of course be LN4 4EL.
Or even L4 4EL - lesson is never send a post whilst trying to eat a yoghurt at work, during lunch time and deal with a work query at the same time!!!
My favorite souvenir of a lifetime of supporting Everton is a memory of standing on the tarmac of Rotterdam airport waiting for people to leave for Vienna. This was because the aurthorities thought the Evertonions were more likely to accept being kept waiting than our strudel munching opponents.[ they were right ] Anyway I was chatting with a group of friends about possibly the greatest night of our lives when I felt a tap on my shoulder and heard the words what about that then Eddie. As I turned around I was greeted by the beaming face of Brian Labone. I have no pictures of that occassion I dont need them as that particular moment in time is burned into my mind. A wonderful memory of a wonderful time and a truly wonderful man. god bless you Brian
