Sunderand Replay Travel
I think it goes without saying that the replay at Sunderland next Tuesday will be the biggest game of our season. It is a game I still firmly believe we can win.
However, I also believe the club has missed a trick with regards to the game already. Under competition rules we will be entitled to 15% of the capacity of the Stadium of Light, meaning that fingers crossed there could be 7,000 Evertonians in Sunderland on the night. To ensure this is the case, I think it would be befitting of the club to provide free travel to the game for any Evertonian wishing to attend.
Yes, it would be costly... but the difference between say 3,000 or 7,000 blues fans being at the game and the effect it could possibly have on the team is immeasurable ? remember Chelsea only last year for example. It has been done before: in 2004 for a replay at Loftus Road against Fulham; other clubs have done it, West Brom just yesterday indeed.
It would not benefit me as I will be driving to the game from Nantwich but it would surely benefit the team. With trips to Swansea, Norwich, let's hope Wembley and season tickets to renew in the next month ? not to mention the surrender at Anfield that was not cheap ? I honestly think it's the least the club could do. They are telling us to stand together for the replay; they could help make that happen and help us book a return to Wembley.

ITV or ESPN will definetley show the Spurs v Bolton game after the incident last night. If there are two games to be replayed, one will be Tuesday and one will be Wednesday.
If the shite v Stoke game ends in a draw (1-1 as I write this), then I think our game won't be selected.
I will be going ? travelling from Essex with three other blues ? and I agree with Roger that we should have taken the 7,000, especially when you consider they are priced at £20 adults and £10 concessions, bearing in mind the Norwich away game sees Delia taking the piss in what is a dead rubber asking £45 and £25.
I also think we can win it. COYB.
We fans still think we can go through just as we thought we would have a great chance at Anfield but the players and Moyes are simply a group of bottlers every last one of them.
1 ? they won't take up the full allocation, and will instead go for the minimum ? especially if SAFC do bulk-no-return (I don't know if they do).
2 ? If they were to go down this route of compensating fans after any disappointment, the debt would mushroom! We'd be the People's Club though.
The machinations of the club top to bottom for a tier 1 sports business never fail to amaze/shock/depress me. As time goes on the relative proportions of each change. I'm now in the lounge of "Don't give a fuck anymore". Disturbingly comfortable.
I'm struggling to think of a week as disappointing as the last one in 30-odd years of being an Evertonian.
1. It's midweek
2. We're shite
3. Everyone is fuckin skint at the moment
4. It's fuckin' miles away from the majority of supporters' homes
"Everton's 6th Round FA Cup replay against Sunderland will take place at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday 27 March (KO 8pm). The game will be broadcast live on ITV1, and will decide who faces Liverpool in the semi-final at Wembley on 14 April."
What normally happens in the cup is that you are given the full allocation but have to confirm about 7 days before the fixture whether you will be taking them all up. No doubt we will make that decision after the initial sale to season ticket holders. If we have sold 3k and beyond then it will be the full allocation, if we are struggling to sell them then we will take a reduced allocation...
Read your history and join me in a weep...
24.03.1971 Panthinailkos
27.03.1971 Liverpool
a week that wil live in infamy - when I knew, without any fucking doubt, there was NO GOD
I saw both games, Heartbraking.
All supporters with a valid match ticket will be entitled to take advantage of the offer for the FA Cup quarter-final replay, travelling from Goodison Park on Tuesday 27 March (kick-off 8pm) to the Stadium of Light.
