I do think we should look into redeveloping Stanley Park. LFC were given planning consent but have abandoned the idea, so it seems viable.

If BK said that Stanley park was a potential site now because LFC were not going to use it then fair enough.....but 7?????

It doesn't mention anywhere that it's because of LFC and their original land grab idea (as well as LCC) that the area is now the way it is.

The RS played hardball and it looks to have worked. I wouldn't want Everton to go that way as it's shameful. But something has to be done. Some new shiny corporate boxes would be a start.

There is as much chance of Bill getting us a new ground as there is of him turning up a buyer in his 24/7 search.

It is barely 5 mins walk from the Gwladys st end and is a huge park bounded by Queens Drive (the city ring road) and the East Lancs Rd.

Essentially it's the same location with better transport access and free of streets and houses - the potential would be monumental.

There used to be an open air auditorium there - I won a batman mask and green balloon on pin the tail on the donkey during one of the shows.

I promptly stuck it up my nose like a length of snot on stage to huge applause.

That's in a great position. Not far from the stations. A short walk up London Rd and as a ready-built car park. Ideal location, I'd say.

The site is certainly big enough.

One of two sites still available in the city are Stonedale Cross as it doesn't look as if Amazon will be moving there and there's been lots of preparation work done; and the top of Edge Lane which is close to the motorway and 5 mins walk from the train station.

I agree with you that the South end get more investment, and if this rumour is true, surely it would be great for the areas around Rice Lane and Walton which need vast sums of regeneration money.

EFC would put the pride back in the north end by building a 55,000-seater stadium with all the mod cons. Do you think Everton would bring this area down if they moved? I don't think so!

Right in between town and the motorway, with its own train station, equidistant to north and south of the city and lots of land to develop on.

There's not a lot going on on Edge Lane at the moment, there's lots of unused space all along it, a brand new Stadium would be an advertisment for the city right on the main route into town.

Stonedale? KEIOC may be tempted to fire some flack up at that one (even if it is in the city boundry), aren't we moving to Kirby again (or should I say Kirkby, to be correct/posh) .

Walton Hall Park is furthest I believe we should go, but even that feels like we're out of the way.

Also, up until the age of 9 I used to live just off Miller's Bridge in Bootle. The area between Bank Hall Station and Miller's Bridge has some business units but is hardly thriving. That has also come into my mind in the past.

That's the industrial part of Bootle. Brasenose Rd just off Millers Bridge. My mate use to have a pub on Millers Bridge, the Toll Bar. Along time ago now. But I know were you mean. Linacre Lane area. Not been around there for a while, so really know if it's still derelict mate.

Do you know were the old corpy yard was in Long Lane Aintree? That is a large site, lots of land and still un built on.

It still makes me angry to think we were told there was 'absolutely nowhere aprt from Kirkby' that a site for a stadium existed.

By the way, the whole area on the Bootle/Litherland border on Hawthorne Road (Mike Hughes #173 is being developed for housing. It's too far from GP in any case, it's in Sefton and to be honest the transport links aren't good enough. I'm only up the road, but it's a thumbs down from me.

Edge Lane makes sense, but I just don't like the idea of moving from north Liverpool (unless it was the city centre of course).

Edge Lane is the most central spot outside the city center, with it's own train station and plenty of land to develop on and it's a real show piece of a venue being on the main road into the city of the motorway.

Get that site and we increase the chances of a potential buyer, it will also raise the profile of the club to anyone coming into the city - It's a winner!

While I would prefer the historical north Liverpool links to be maintained, Edge Lane is another reasonable possibility. Coming into the city from that direction gives a really bad impression. It's like a war zone in places.

It's also more accessible and more visible than the Anfield area for the tourist / shopping visitor - therefore raising our profile further.

Why not use Everton FC as the catalyst for improving the city? Edge Lane would look great painted royal blue and white all the way from the end of the M62 / Queens Drive and beyond.

Don't remember the Toll Bar pub but our local when I was a kid was The Glendower on St John's Road (it's gone now) which was just around the corner from Bank Hall station.

There's very little around that way. Derelict really. On the Bootle / Kirkdale border - possibly get a footprint in Liverpool (but better than Kirkby).
