Great magazine. Around ten years ago I used to buy each one and enjoy reading it in the Winslow, but in the ever quicker World we live in any publication that is instant and bang up to date will struggle against real time news.

It amazes me that the Programme sales hold up, especially as most of the comments and news from the club is known at least a few days before the programme can be published. An example may be the leaving of Pip, we will all be well read of that news through media like TW well before Saturday.

The same I think can be said of the Newspapers, unless there is some major drama tonight I have already read the Newspapers for tomorrow on the net.

Sad demise of seeing the guys freezing on the corner of Gwladys Street and Goodison Road. I wish them all the best for the future. Good lads.

Sorry, it should read "that is not"

Shame. I always read it sitting in the bath. All good things come to an end eventually I suppose.

I have noticed recently that they have been critical of the extreme opinions of the 'Internet cranks' .... Could they mean Toffeeweb ha ha?

Karl if you peruse GOT, NSNO, KIPPER you might be nearer the mark they grunt their own languages become suspicious if you use a sentence of more than 10 words and threaten violence if you say a word against Moyes or Kenwright.

If you say wrestling is scripted nonsense they throw themselves off tall buildings.

I don't read those guys, Barry, but broadly speaking I think that WSAG is pro Moyes whilst recognising that or Board are inept / greedy / Philip Green's lapdogs, whatever the truth is.

It seems that rightly or wrongly the general consensus amongst Evertonians is that Toffeeweb harbors the miserable gits amongst our ranks.

Must add that I love WSAG and have had a sub since the eighties. After a somewhat dodgy start with a lot of unnecessary abuse aimed at certain players, it settled down to a class act that has managed to bring Evertonians together and not divide us.

Over 10,000 miserable gits to be precise Karl, although not enough of them post their views.

Ha ha Patrick! Are we sure all 10,000 Toffeeweb readers are miserable gits?

Perhaps the silent majority watch the dogs of war like Marsh and Gavin tear into people while Eugene takes his potshots at them like Babe Ruth in a Coconut shy and think it's best to keep their heads down? By the way, personally, I think those three are highly entertaining and enjoy the banter but I suspect some others may be more wary.

You could be correct there Karl, they are a group who ensure that posts are kept to the point and help to keep us all honest. I can see Eugene with a baseball bat swatting away with gusto at his targets while grinning from ear to ear in sheer enjoyment.

Interesting. They may just get off there pious high horse now and not remind us with every new issue how lucky we are to pay them for the privilege of reading their views on fashion, music and most insultingly politics. With the exception of St V, the fanzine was pretty ordinary. Unless you wore the same labels, voted Labour and thought Shack were the second coming, you didn't get a mention. At least with TW you are allowed a view.

I've been a subscriber for many years and am sad to see the move to digital only.

First of all, let me say that the people who put the effort in to publish things like this - Graham and the team - deserve great credit and thanks from Evertonians as a whole. As more and more publications move to digital, the irony is that longer term the ability to have some physical to read will in my view become more valuable.

I fear that WSAG will get lost amongst all the other noise on the web about the blues. I hope I'm wrong. I'm sure I'm not alone in having saved WSAG for my toilet reading. I've had many happy times sitting reading WSAG, chuckling at St V, and alas I'm going to have to revert to something new.

Another familiar cry will be missing on matchdays. Sad. With ever growing demand for things to be ever more instant we will be demanding to know the final score before leaving for the ground.

I've been buying WSAG at the match since 1991 and still have all my back issues and I'm sad at it's demise. Thought it would go on forever.

Articles that spring to mind are one from Joe Moss of Kirkby in 1994 tearing into, in his word's, 'non-Scouse knobheads and wools' who support the Blues and one in the November 1998 issue called 'think before you drink before you support Everton' that still has me hysterics whenever I dig it out.

WSAG has been part of my matchday for 22 years and it's a read I will miss.

Ken, I love your reports and I am very sure that you know the final score before you leave the ground.

I will miss the printed WSAG very much.

Have been a follower since the very first editions and remember how I used to read it from cover to cover when I got home after a game.

The first issue I ever bought was an absolute revelation.

At last, here was a forum for the ordinary supporter to air his or her views. It was fabulous to read other Evertonians' opinions: such an antidote to the dated, sanitised propaganda from its only rival at the time - the official programme.

If the editorial team from WSAG read this - as I am sure they will - good luck with the new venture lads.

It is a shame but hope the digital version is a success. Few things make you laugh out loud when read - St V has made me do it on many occasions!

Apologies Ken, I have now read what you wrote more carefully! It would be handy to know the score beforehand though.
