U21s goalless again but remain unbeaten

Everton's second string played out a third successive goalless draw against NextGen champions, Aston Villa, that means the Blues finish the regular season on a 15-game unbeaten run that stretches back to November.

Alan Stubbs fielded a young side at at Bodymoore Heath that more than matched their hosts, particulalrly in the second half.

Both teams hit the woodwork in a lively encounter and Shane Duffy had an injury time header palmed away by the Villa goalkeeper to keep the scoresheet blank.

Everton will now play off against either Newcastle or Bolton with a place in the final four on offer.

The unbeatables. Almost. Guess Mcaleny must still be injured but good to see Grorge Green back in the mix.

Lets hope their talent isn't wasted by a manager who doesn't have the bottle to use 'em.

Especially the defence, I suppose it makes some sense with Stubbs in charge.
