I hope Georgia hang on here. Another country partially occupied by invading Russians.
Not one to combine football and religion but two largely non Catholic countries playing each other.

But you just have Kieran.
Like saying "Not one to misbehave as a guest in someone's house" and then pissing up their curtains. 😂

Georges Mikautadze seems quite a player. He was excellent in the previous game. I see his playing second tier in France but I should imagine he will get some offers after this tournament.

Wow, an unselfish Ronaldo! Portugal teaching Turkey here. With Spain and Germany, the outstanding teams so far.

Portugal were my pre-tournament pick. I worried a bit about that after last weeks game but this is more like it against a decent if not great Turkey team. But yeah Paul Spain and Germany certainly are the other two who have stood out by a significant margin.

Not much between the three of them to be honest Kieran, perhaps home advantage? But these teams have a small army of fans. Feel sorry for the Turks after their first game and Portugal, after all, were the first European country to trade slaves ...

The own goals are the greatest joy to be had from this tournament, Paul - let's hope they can keep coming up with new ones!

Portugal looked decent today after a poor showing last time out. Strong squad especially in midfield. Nearly all would walk into the England midfield. Although calling it a midfield is stretching it atm.

It's amazing Dennis. I think I heard someone say that there were 11 in the last Euros. Might have heard that wrong. That Turkey one is the best of the bunch so far!

Don't you think Liam that on paper they would not but on performance so far they could well?

Neither are they Buddhist, Kieran.

I think even on paper any from Bernardo Silva, Fernandes, Vintinha, João Palhinha and arguably Rúben Neves and Matheus Nunes are stronger midfielders than any in England squad. We don't really have any midfielders of that ilk who are tactically aware, can keep the ball, create, and do the defensive work as well.

Only one red card in this tournament so far too. That seems unusual. Maybe their saving them for when they need them.

KDB keeping his gob tightly shut for the anthem, he looks a bit of a short arse there but I suppose he's next to the keeper. Keepers, on the other hand, give it loads for their anthems.

Poor Beckham, having to resort to crappy adverts for crisps and betting sites. Maybe inter Miami and Victoria's are not producing the millions they expected.

And in the first match Kieran. Have the refs been asked to take it easy. There have been some shocking yellows not given.

I know me footy. Just about to say Onana has been largely anonymous and then he put through a ball that Colin Harvey would have been proud of.
I'll get me coat

He's a player of moments isn't he Alan? Can do some amazing things but more often he's like the invisible man. Can see why he gets a lot of interest from CL clubs though. He has talent and potential. Has been frustrating to watch for the Blues.

That was a great pass Alan. But overall I still see not a great deal but he's never misses a Belgo gam so I must be missing something. I suspect that Liam is right and his fee is going up after every game.
Please God may we cash in and we can then find a replacement for DCL who is not Abrahams, Ings, Che Adams, Weghorst, or Beto.

Amadou doing what he said he would, getting noticed, for the right reasons, good on him.
If there is any way we can keep our top players we should, this lad, Jarrad, and Calvertr-Lewin.
Sometimes you don't know what you've got... til it's gone!
Keep Everton together till the new owners bed in...

My 16-year-old has just put Lukaku's name in the mix as a Calvert-Lewin replacement given the Roma link etc.

Liam @ 25. I can honestly say hand on heart that I have never seen Onana do anything “ amazingâ€. Quite good on rare occasions, but amazing, never.

He's a conundrum wrapped in an enigma dipped in batter and breadcrumbs and deep fried. He's obviously highly rated and I wish him well...if we can get over £45 mill then I'm sure it would be acceptable business all round. He'll never be Mark Pembridge!

I'm not his biggest fan Les. I'd be happy to cash in. Does on rare occasions show skills (like the pass mentioned above) that turns heads though.
Maybe amazing is pushing it adjective wise tbf

Onana with a splendid tackle to start the play, and our old friend Rom finishes it. You bet I feel a moment of Blue pride there.

Onana is a bit of a conundrum: bags of potential but not quite delivering.
Whilst I like him and think he will be a star in the future, given our current issues with PSR, he seems to be the sacrificial lamb to solve some short-term cash issues.
He has made noises about moving to a club giving Champions League opportunities so he is the one I would sell to balance the books with a big sell-on clause.
